QVC Live Discussion

It’s happened to the best of us, but Mary sure has packed on some pounds! And Pam looks dreadful in those pants (in the whole outfit, actually).

You guys are making my life easy for the next fashion poll with all these unfashionable pics, lol!

I thought it was looking like Mary had gained weight again too, and it couldn’t be a month ago she was talking about her 15 LB weight loss when she was doing Kim gravel’s show. I thought 15 seems like a lot from what I was seeing but she looks heavier just even in the last month. 15 must be the magical number 'cause I’m down 15 to 18 and I seem to have hit a wall too, but I’m not giving up!

   Pam has always struggled with weight. She lost a pretty significant amount at one time, but like most who have worked so hard, there’s a constant fluctuation. Give her a whole lotta credit for never giving up!

Every time I see Pam I just wanna run for a comb and a pair of scissors.

   @SuperElevated … Agreed, a new cut & style, along with a fresh color would give her a great, new (dare I say ELEVATED) look.

Another thing that I can’t help but notice … Those great big forced toothy grins really can distort ones looks. Some appear to be grimacing in sheer agony.

Well I can’t fault anybody for going au naturel grey. I did the same thing during COVID and never looked back. I got tired of the maintenance and the money, and so I can’t fault that. Her perma-curlz around the bottom,a holdover of the beachy wave thing, must end.

I also went grey during COVID and am so glad I did. I love my natural grey with some white mixed in, get many compliments, and sure don’t miss going to the salon every 3 - 4 weeks for a touch up, not to mention the cost savings.

   I attempted the same process when I was also dealing with Covid and the aftermath of a fractured right arm that required surgery. Much to my surprise, the end result was my dark blonde/light brown locks with a light sprinkling of silver … I’m like coffee with cream. All I need now is a :doughnut: donut …

I let my hair go au naturel when I no longer went to the office and worked from home. My natural hair color was dark brown, and when I stopped coloring it discovered there were varying shades of silver, light, medium and dark brown. I’ve received lots of compliments, even my hair dresser says it looks great. I just get a clear gloss applied to bring out the shine. A woman at the grocery store asked me how I got my highlights and I told her from Mother Nature, they were free!

I wonder if Pam looks not so good because of the color she is wearing along with the dull gray hair. It all looks dull and lifeless. If she were to wear a brighter color, even the same size, I think it would look better because it wouldn’t all blend in with her kind of colorless hair.

Add me to the Covid gray hair club. My natural color is dark brown and at this point I’m about 50% brown, 50% gray. I’m saving a lot of money and my hair feels healthier and thicker without all the chemicals. I don’t think I’ll ever go back to coloring my hair.

I hate that they had to mention the misfits in the same sentence as Mary Beth at the very end.

   As we lose the color in our hair, we also lose color in our complexion, and generally need to adjust our makeup shades accordingly. A softer blush to your cheeks, a softer shade of lip color, and you may perhaps even need a lighter shade of foundation if you use a base color. And a lighter touch on the eye color. Small changes make a world of difference. And, of course muddy hair color, or dull gray … use a product to make it shine!

I went completely flesh colored (as one of my kids says) during Covid. Well, actually long before Covid.

This feels icky to me. Since it’s only a two hour show, in my opinion, it would have been far classier to just have a a sit around chat type format where they showed clips, maybe some bloopers, talked about the old days, the new days… this selling crap it just doesn’t feel right to me. Aaaand now we’re in church.

I truly like Mary Beth, not so much a Valerie fan, but this love fest between them…hope they’re passing the insulin along with that offering plate.

I love that Rick wore a suit in her honor, he looks great!

When VPH showed up, you knew there would be church lady talk. I agree that it’s cheesy on the part of the Q to make her last show just another hour of selling junk rather than MBR focused. And Rick looks great in that suit!

Totally agree! First they didn’t pay for her retirement party, now they’re working her until the second they deactivate her key card and push her out the door. I would feel very disrespected and unappreciated if I were her. An hour until retirement, and she’s pushing Corky’s wings. Are you kidding me??

Other hosts (and potential hosts) should take note of how QVC treats their employees. If this is how they treat the hosts, can you imagine how they treat those behind the scenes? :eyes:

I know she’s trying to keep it professional (not that she needs the job reference in retirement) but if I were in her shoes, I’d walk out in the middle of this pathetic send-off, and invoice them for the party via certified mail.

On another note… Rick looks :fire: in that suit!

JRT taking notes, and starting a special Christmas Club acct., so she can pay for the sendoff she deserves dammit! She’s the official Grand Dame now you know.
