I’m on TT frequently. QVC lives have crossed my page pretty often and I notice they’re mainly beauty and sometimes homewares (Valerie, temptations). I’ve seen the newer on air hosts (Justin, John) as well as ones I’ve never seen (currently someone doing beauty named Alexis?).
A lot of TT shopping in general is aimed at beauty/clothing for a younger crowd (20’s, 30’s) and QVC lives give me the same feel.
The live I just looked at had 167 viewers tuned in. That’s not a lot I’ve seen other lives of protests, rocket launches, travel tours etc with thousands of viewers tuned in.
So my impression overall is that they are targeting the 20-30 somethings with this TT campaign. You will never see Jane, Denim and Co or Jimmy the Baker on QVC’s TT stream. We will see if they bring in new merchandise/categories and if they will be able to entice this demographic. Lots of competition on TT.
If they’re trying to attract a younger demographic, they’re really going to have to change up a lot of their merchandise. I can’t see them flocking to Susan Graver’s liquid-knit crap and Demin and Co.
While I haven’t really been a fan of shutting down or banning TT, I am now going to concentrate my mental MOJO that it does. Join me in my petty party.
I know very little about selling things on TT. But you mentioned Susan Graver. Depending on what’s being sold, would the vendor be on TT along with the host/influencer presenting the product ?
There is an “I Love QVC” Facebook group that Mary Beth posted (commented) in today. The OP mentioned the TikTok thing and said she would not be doing TT. MBR said that QVC would still be on regular TV.
I found it interesting that MBR was reading, and then posting, on a viewer FB page.
When i think of snaps, I am immediately taken back to my hospital stay and wearing one of those infamous gowns. I had one that malfunctioned right at the bewb line. Talk about inconvenient.
