@youbetcha Hey no offense was meant. You like what you like. I identify with @BATSHIT’s mom calling them apes. My mom used to call us far worse lol!
No worries, @PearlClutcher ! I was laughing at myself, thinking I was cool using that term. ![]()
This Martha Stewart windbreaker for $100beans?
I don’t think Dennis Basso would have the onions to charge that.
I must be hungry lol.
The Homeshoppingista published a letter that QVC/HSN vendors received regarding the “organizational restructure” (fancy words for layoff).
What a darling top you both got! I love polka dots for the spring and summer months.
The part where they tell the vendors their contacts may have changed… and direct them to an email address in case of questions. I sure hope there are individual letters to the various vendors that give them… I don’t know, a phone number to call? Wow.
Jill needs to please burn this flouncy orange top immediately. It does no favors for her figure - she needs structure and crisp materials to outline her positives. Not flappy loose thing she has here which only makes her look wide- which she really isn’t. The only woman who can carry off this look is Mrs. Roper.
I didn’t notice the hammer toe. I was too distracted by those magnificent runner’s legs.
Hey, at least they gave the vendors a point of contact for questions. In quite a few companies these days, including the one I left last year, when someone is let go or leaves voluntarily, NOBODY within or outside the company is informed about who’s gone and who will be taking over their responsibilities.
As you might imagine, chaos ensues. If your job involves collaborating with people in other departments, it can be weeks before you find out who your new work partners are. Does this cause problems with meeting deadlines and rolling out new products? Of course it does! Is it frustrating and unproductive? You betcha! Do customers and vendors get pissed off? No question.
I don’t know why corporations are so secretive about layoffs now, but it makes no sense.
$20/lb for off-fall trimmings. Got it. ![]()
Agree! They call it a reorganization but it’s anything but organized. How about some planning and communication. Pissing off customers = bad business strategy.
i followed the Reddit post link above
there are some telling convos between the BBB and Q corporate
not customer focused at all
Honcho Rawlinson on GMA this morning, stating the QRate shopping platform on TicToc is officially up an running live 24/7, with free shipping all weekend at that site. I don’t TicToc, and I rarely shop at the Q anymore, but I am curious to see what the 50+ groups thinks on this new strategy.

I’m not getting TikTok only because I feel like I have too much social media going on at the moment. Also I don’t get the appeal. I’m in my mid-50s but to be fair, not interested in shopping at QVC at all. I just came up via the snarking ranks LOL
What is their target demographic? Is it only the 50-60 folks? Do they want to expand beyond that?
Rawlinson was all happy-slappy this morning about the “New Plan” but I don’t think they even have a solid agenda, still crossing their fingers, and flying by the seat of their pants. He was talking about working closely with TicToc influencers, which may be that they are once again trying to attract a younger crowd of buyers. That might just mean that more hosts are going to have their choice of a pink slip vs retirement package. Hence the recent “casting call.”
They’re still milking Mary Beth’s popularity. I just received a $25 off coupon “A Special Message From Mary Beth Roe.”
“Although you won’t see me on your TV screen anymore, rest assured I’m continuing to watch and shop along with you.”
I’ll use it for something.
It might not work for everyone: WITHLOVE25
Good for all of April, one use only, not clearance or final sale.
