Today we celebrated the return of our very own home town Tall Ship, The US Brig Niagara, after spending the past year in Boston being “renewed and refurbished.” It was a gloriously perfect day, if you don’t factor in the 90° temperature and high humidity, but we were delighted to be there. It truly was an amazing sight to see the ship sailing into port, flanked by forty smaller vessels. This beauty first sailed in the year 1813, under the guidance of Master Commander Oliver Hazard Perry, and is officially 213 years old!
If you ever are lucky enough to have the opportunity to see a Tall Ships Parade, do go … and then have some ice cream!
