Regarding apple pie: I didn’t learn until I was in my 20s that some people like to put a slice of cheddar cheese on their apple pie. I was mortified LOL - while I honestly don’t care what other people like and think everyone should do what they want… I personally cannot STAND sweet and savory mixed. Like keep those damn waffles AWAY from my chicken… and that maple syrup away from my sausage links

We have an abundance of farming in our area, and the cherry, peach, apple and grape festivals are always well attended, as well as the Italian, Polish, Irish, German, and Greek festivals. With gas prices as they are, we don’t have to travel far to have great fun & good food!

All our dogs were rescued from our local humane society. We spoil them because they deserve it. It can take time to gain their trust, especially if they came from an abusive or neglected situation, but once that hurdle is cleared, they enjoy the kindness & safety of a new home.

We have always been CatPeople, largely due to the ease of care in raising cats compared to dogs, especially when you’re holding down a job. But … every time I look at that puppy, I’m in love. We were blessed to both be able to retire early so we’re still “young” enough to take on a new challenge!
