Thank you for the Monday morning chuckle @MidwestCrabby. Rick and Guy would be a more entertaining pair than some of the awkwardness we are subjected to now.
I do hope all of this works out positively for Marlo. ![]()

I’ll be the first to admit that I definitely like a pretty face, and I do enjoy watching Guy, especially in the cooking and gardening shows. I also enjoy watching Adam, he does a variety of programs, and I like his down to earth approach. Rick, on the other hand, has always been a bit too much for me, all that “energy” that frequently is a result of self medication. ANY host who stresses me out from any type of bad/weird behavior, I just don’t watch, which ultimately means I don’t watch the Q much any more, and rarely buy. I highly doubt that Guy would move to PA, as he sounds like he enjoys the FLA life, his son is there, and he’s also in that 60+ category.
Marlo, I fear, is having a difficult time (I so hope and wish I’m wrong) and can’t see her making a major move to the cold, snowy North. It’s not as though they’re just moving to the next town, or just an hour or two away. And seriously, who wants to board an airplane today, and the trip by car is approximately 24 hours!
And you know the competition between the two teams is gonna be fierce. Lots of people so very close to retirement age clawing to hang on to their place. And, since QRate is not honest and up front with their employees, even long term employees, loyalty will not be rewarded. Why take a chance relocating in PA, and a short time later getting the dreaded pink “layoff” slip? I think this latest bit of trickery could be the final nail in the QRate Coffin. They have totally screwed their staff AND their client base over the course of the past few years, and don’t have even the tiniest clue that they are their own undoing.
Amen …
how many ez pays for that ?
I have a dozen between my garage and my office. I love them.
Only $279.99 (monthly payment using your QCard) and two fresh pints per month, any blood type, for the next 36 months with special QCard financing, pending credit approval.

From that article, Rhonda Shear has acquired a property and is ready to set up her own shopping channel by way of podcast etc. She’s got several venders on board that don’t want to move to PA. It sounds like she’s got jobs lined up for the behind the scenes people that will be affected. Good on her for stepping up. Maybe it will work out. We will see. I’ve never been a fan of her products though.
I do hope That Rhonda is successful. She’s a person who relates well to everyone, with honesty and sincerity. She’s been selling her products at HSN since 2004, and has really expanded her product line over the years … You Go, Gurl!
Until recently, I assumed they were just catalog and online. I look forward to visiting one of their stores someday!
I like Guy’s jeans…![]()

The ticking clock is speeding up. Shopping channels are becoming obsolete. I’ve noticed Courtney K. is gone from QVC and the other night they had 2 men hocking women’s jewelry. Pretty sad.
David Venable said she is out until April due to family issues.
2 months is a long time for something like that.
People don’t take that kind of time unless it’s a long-term illness / care issue.
2 months’ time off is a long, long time in the tv world.
Nancy Yoon was gone for three months. I think Courtney has been gone since the beginning of January. The only reason David Venable said anything because someone asked him on his Coffee Talk whether she was pregnant.
CK is still on the host page
I still think Courtney adopted a baby and is using this time for family bonding. She is NOT worried about her job.
I remember when Shawn had her miscarriage and was gone for at least a month. I was an employer for 30 years and NO ONE took that much time off after a miscarriage. I gave maternity leave but didn’t like doing it. It was unfair to the employees that didn’t have children.
FMLA starts at 90 or 120 days I believe.
I think Shawn took family leave when her father was dying.
Yes she took time off for that too, which is understandable.
