QVC Live Discussion

A self-proclaimed fashionista by the age of seven, Amy Silverberg Oselkin has transformed her passion for fashion and beauty into a writing and television career.

In 2023, she published her first poetry book, The Story Behind the Poem: A Reflection on Mommyhood, Miscarriages and Marriage. Since 2012, she has been an on-air host for QVC, selling Clarks shoes daily.

“Amy Oselkin no longer with Clarks” I am surprised, just learning about this from you guys. Maybe contract up and QVC cut back based on money, nothing else? I would say it’s because she just came out with a book this year, but they are never giving ‘regular’ hosts who are vulgar, overshare and annoying the boot so I am not sure about that possibility for Amy. I am totally surprised, whether I liked her or not, she seemed to know her stuff and wore the shoes and position well.

Yeah, the Q allows the trashy, classless, vile, slutty hosts to remain but the wholesome young mother who sells shoes without vulgarity, flirtation or nastiness just HAS to go! :exploding_head:

Wow, kind of a cutthroat business. Why do the crazies get to stay?

I liked Amy, she always presented herself well and seems to truly like her job.

Does she have to give those stupid shoe puppets back?

Even though she has nothing to do with employee decisions, Blabby’s gushy “OH, THIS OAP IS MY BFF AND WE DO EVERYTHING TOGETHER AND WE LOVE EACH OTHER THE MOSTEST,” etc., that she seems to perform with every OAP who survives for more than a month sure rings false when she’s presenting Clarks with not–Amy Oselkin hours after the latter announced her abrupt and unexpected dismissal, and she acts like AO never existed.

What happened here? Jane had a producer announce that Amy left to stay home with her children?

It was a QVC producer who was leaving after many years. Both Jane and David praised her and wished her well. They made too big of a deal that she was leaving to be a stay at home mom. Almost like they were a little astonished she would leave the Q family.

Jane was her usual overly emotive self with her trademark break in her voice, teary eyes, and grabbing the poor producer who probably couldn’t wait to get away.

Maybe the producer was so embarrassed about what is happening to the Q that she decided to leave before the total collapse.

And, by her own admission, not a nice person off set.

That means she really doesn’t have a genuine bone in her body? JT will now join SK in the I will never watch you present on TV again category.

It just dawned on my why Christmas in July now begins in June; to prop up their dismal 2nd quarter numbers.

I just turned in to see Judy Crowell selling a very cheap looking silver diamond cut bangle bracelet and matching ring.
Good Grief what is this phenomenon where QVC hosts NEVER really go away: obsession, addiction, delusion???

Which is more pathetic:

QVC for attempting to relive its glory days, or the former hosts scrounging for a gig?

It speaks volumes about her that she was like that at the start of her career.
I love hearing stories about host encounters of the turd kind.

I’m calling her RudeElf from now on.

Not uncommon for overly saccharine on-air performers to be nasty in real life.
I don’t follow jewelry shows but caught a few minutes of Jill with Rosina. I have to say that Jill is knowledgeable and explains features well. Also had nice, professional interaction with Rosina.
