I would think some of the old timers like Bobbi Rae and Colleen will probably decide to retire, unless they offer them some limited hosting duties, where they fly them up for a few days at a time. I would think most of the others would go. Thereās not that many opportunities in TV.

I wonder if Suzanne Runyon will want to come back to PA after being successful on HSN? She never seemed to be comfortable in her own skin when she was a host on QVC.

I always felt as though some of Suzanneās QVC coworkers treated her like she was a bit of a bimbo. Back then, she was a young new mom, and trying to hold her own. Iād say sheās more than proven herself. Sheās married, successful in her job, and in her sixties, and probably has no desire to uproot her life. And whose to say QVC is even going to offer positions to HSN employees? More competitive women in an already competitive household isnāt a workable solution, especially if QRate is attempting to cut costs. I can hear the hissing, caterwauling, and wailing right now. Not good!

Thereās no reason to do any of that.
The execs in the c-suite rarely make good decisions. They got there through connections and politicking not because of anything they know, same as with every other job.
Only founders of companies have any real insights, i.e. Disney when it was run by Walt. The successors are hangers-on and sycophants.
Right now, both locations are essentially well-oiled machines that have been operating for years. Iād continue to look at each one individually and make changes that way. Bean-counters are listened to far too much at companies.
Donāt worry so much about cutting costs, i.e. free coffee but try and drive innovation and getting onboard with the next trend(s) coming down the pike.
Even the headline is so much corporate spiel. They are taking their ideas straight from the GE Playbook and HP. Cutting costs doesnāt drive growth.
Even cows donāt poop out this much nonsense.
You learn to read between the lines with these corporate press releases.
