Since you posted a mama and baby cat picture, I’m sneaking in this pic of my baby Melisandre with her mama Daenerys. Melisandre is 9 now. Dani was a rescue and adopted by another family, as were her 3 other kittens (all different human families).

@lilygilder, even when it’s not Mother’s Day Diva can’t restrain himself from grilling women OAPs about how many children they have, how old they are, their names, what they look like and what they like to do. This seems excessive to me because he wants so many details, and he should already know the answers because he sees many of these same OAPs week after week. Also, I have never heard him ask male OAPs the same questions even though they might be “busy dads.”
Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if he asked a woman OAP if she had a natural childbirth, a c section, or adopted her offspring. He comes across as that intrusive.

Chains such as these were the Q’s bread and butter back in the 90s, and we would have been able to buy this chain all day long for $250 or less. It’s crazy when I think about what’s happened to precious metal jewelry in the last 25 years.

Some of what you say makes sense, but personally I make buying decisions based on whether the product is a good buy for me. I don’t care at all about the OAPs’ family situations.

It’s way past time for Q to start using a new playbook. And how come the current playbook on one hand emphasizes hosts’ and OAPs’ family life, but on the other hand subjects viewers to the raunch and filth spewed by Skunky, Mally and their little unapologetic “be real” clique, plus Blabby’s performances like her hobby horse trot the other day?

I agree that those stories are totally irrelevant to my life and many others, but in the wonderful new world of social media, those are exactly the stories that supposedly people are clamoring for. Nothing is private or sacred or dignified anymore. It’s all about clicks and likes. And many people, unfortunately, feel compelled to watch and respond to other people’s lives instead of managing their own.

I agree, I think David knows his fanbase is mostly older women who like hearing the details of others’ lives. Since David doesn’t share much about his personal life, other than about his mother, he’s asking about OAPs lives to fill in the gap.

I bought a pair of jeans kind of like that about 8-9 years ago. (I looked it up - it was in 2017). They were from when Martha Stewart had a clothing line on QVC the time before this one. They had less patches and were gray, but they looked a lot like these. They were actually nice jeans, but I gave them away a long time ago because they weren’t in style any longer.
I just saw Leslie Blodgett, of Bare Minerals, do a recorded promo for their new(?) pressed powder! Haven’t seen her in ages. Back in the day, she and Lisa were on ALL the time. I like Leslie, but I was so sick of seeing that makeup line and Lisa being all BFF-y with Leslie. lol
Kind of funny they are promoting a pressed powder when part of their sales schtick was that loose minerals were better.
