I remember when Debbie D left her news anchor position in DFW many years ago. She was the weekend anchor and did not get a promotion to a weekday slot. She sued the station for discrimination (weight and race) but lost in arbitration.
She’s a tough cookie and will stand up for herself if she needs to. I also thought she was a pleasant, polished news anchor. Seeing and hearing her sell clothes is still a bit strange for me, at times.
