I have not been having good luck with any shoes that I’ve ordered lately. I am going to just give up, since I’ve had to return the last 3 orders. The latest - Revitalign 673927 - gave me huge blisters on both feet within about 20 minutes. I recycled the shoe boxes and everything before I did more than just try them on, so I will try to resell on Postmark at a big loss. But I did manage to return some Vionic sandals that had zero flex in the soles (think Frankenstein clomping), and some Aerosoles sandals that my daughter talked me into buying. Just overall uncomfortable and stiff.
I used to buy Clarks and Earth shoes with some success, but the quality of both of those and the unreliable fit has made both of those brands bad choices. What has happened to shoes on QVC? Have they gone to Tier 3 manufacturers to save money?
I read somewhere that Clarks, which has been a family company, I think, is/has closed most of their stores in England. I’m not sure, but I think either they sold the company, or maybe their name, but I don’t think Clarks are made by the Clarks of old. I have also read many complaints that shoes sold on the Q are different than the same shoe sold elsewhere. Just like Merrills are not the same quality since the company moved overseas or sold their name. Just like Lennox and Oneida flatware. The names have been sold, and products are now made overseas.
I actually think that in the pic above with Blabs and Kim, that Jane looks about as good as she can, given her body type. Nothing is too tight and I think she looks good.
I don’t think they closed their retail stores in England, but all the manufacturing jobs left more than 10 years ago. They’re Chinese now, so it’s not surprising the quality is down.
I mostly buy shoes at the TJMaxx/Marshalls/Sierra online sites, and find I have the most luck with shoes made in Spain and Portugal. With the tariff situation, I’ll be interested to see if the Chinese-made shoes will disappear from these online sources.
I just saw Kim Gravel on with Amy, and it looks like Kim regained some of the weight she’d lost. Her face is a little fuller and she looks bigger through the body. She’s wearing a sweater and keeps pulling it together because you can see the slight bulge of her belly in the clingy t-shirt she’s wearing underneath. And those cut-off denim shorts! They should be called the Ellie May’s (from Beverly Hillbillies).
I didn’t realize she lost 60 lbs. She was always a QVC size large before and then after a size medium. I would think with 60 pounds she would go down more than one size.
It does look like she gained back more than 10. Unless you’re really short, 10 pounds is not that noticeable,
The Reverend Gravel just “prayed over” a customer who called in and said she had something going on in her life. I guess that’s one way to get customers to buy.
