QVC Live Discussion (Part 1)

He’s a fine looking man, and I don’t care what his hairline looks like. :face_blowing_a_kiss:

It seems pretty clear MB has the respect of people she works with. And she agreed to stay on the job longer at QVC’s request. I know a Jen Coffey-style The Wonder of Me themed party probably isn’t something MB would enjoy, but they really could have gussied up this farewell a bit more instead of this awkward Saturday afternoon show vibe.

I’m assuming they’re gonna shoot their wad in the last two minutes of the hour with confetti and everybody coming out in tears and balloons, or I could have this outfit totally misjudged and they’ll just fade to black. Nothing would surprise.

Wonder if they’ll drag out some old warehouse stock and try to sell us some Capodimonte and T-Fal cookware.

Edit - correction, confetti and balloons weren’t in the budget.

I’m partially watching (sound off at times), but Mary Beth did mention that they had a host gathering earlier today (?) for her.

It is evident she is well loved and appreciated. I wish her well!

Edit: I may have a dessert she featured in my cart …

Nice heartfelt words from MBR and toast from Rick at the end.

I think Shawn and Mally are next, so … click!

Awww, Rick got choked up during his toast! That was a very sweet ending to the career of a lifetime. Cheers to you Mary-Beth! :clinking_glasses:

Yeah Mary Beth did make a plea to save the channel there at the end didn’t she? “…please keep shopping”, she said

A shocking moment of clarity from Shawn. “Mary-Beth is lovable. Us? Not so much!” :joy:

Mary-Beth is clearly beloved by everyone at QVC. It’s the end of an era. I didn’t tune in regularly until the pandemic, but whenever I was flipping through (we’re talking yearssss ago) I’d see MBR and always thought she was so personable yet professional.

She really is a good role model for young women in retail. Shopping would be fun again if there were more salespeople with her energy.

There were video tributes from some of the hosts, but I didn’t see one from JRT, or Shawn, or Leah. Maybe they were at the 6 pm host gathering MBR mentioned. Sad that as MBR asked viewers to continue watching the Q and fall in love with the other hosts, she’s followed by Shawn and Mally.

Okay, here’s a random, possibly inappropriate analogy; MBR is like Bridget, the hotel mgr’s friend in Pretty Woman.

THANK YOU! I haven’t seen that movie in years and was looking for something to watch besides these awful embroidered garbage bags. :credit_card:

Thanks for those bloopers, @SuperElevated ! They sure seemed to have a lot more fun back then.

I remember many of those young hosts, too! Nick Chavez was always such a riot.

Shawn just said their are 600 people on the phone lines waiting to order this rocking chair. Ever heard of QVC.com to order?

If you’ve noticed, they have this reprobate doing, of all things, shoe shows.

I find this utterly hilarious given her personal hygiene track record and the number of times I can count, easily in the double digits, how unkempt she has been while on-air.

It’s almost like QVC management is going out of it’s way to not only make ridiculously poor decisions but the worst decisions possible.

Mary Beth looks EXTRA happy in this pic to be getting the hell off that sinking ship, but POOR Rich. He looks horrible.

I have to say, this chair TSV looks like a nice product. I don’t have a need, but if I did, I’d take a flyer on it.
