QVC Live Discussion (Part 1)

Same here. I watched last night and enjoyed the whole 2 hours, not that I should have been up at that hour. Valerie and Rachel had the same rhythm in how they talked and same soft tone. Valerie seemed impressed that Rachel added good insight to some of the products rather than mindless babble like some of the other late night annoyers. I enjoyed the show which I haven’t been able to say that much about QVC shows in a long time. I’m not having a problem with Rachel.

One thing I’m remembering about last night. Valerie was moving 3 of the mercury glass candles around on top of a pedestal plate. The weight shifted and the items were about to slide off and crash. Rachel was able to grab it super fast saving the moment. Valerie was impressed.

While I’m posting… QVC has been telling us the same thing for 20 years. “These are the brightest TSV solar lights we’ve ever had.” So, QVC, the lights you’ve offered over the years are little more than a dim nightlight? I don’t need lights bright enough to scare away UFOs, but I’d like enough light to see my walkway going to my door.

The Effin’ Obvious Award goes to Alberti. While presenting that folding table/bench he said we could put things on top of the table. I figured that already Alberti. Maybe next week he’ll tell us we can wear socks. On our feet.

Alberti must hate viewers. He and Jenn were on Saturday morning Q together. He used the word LAVENDER several times. It starts Jenn into her “Oh, Davinder” indulgence. Stop it.

Not an original observation but, gosh, Caro’s hair is so distracting and harsh. :woman_shrugging:

like her
jokes aside she could do better hair and new glasses
I dislike her even more as thegirlnextdoor

There have been some long hard sell presentations on the Ninja TSV. I like the idea of having a pizza oven, but I don’t think I’d use the smoker feature. Plus, I’d need a table which adds another $100+ if I bought the one from Ninja on the Q website, so I’m going to pass.

Although I’m not a fan of the orange faux tans on the hosts, I think Mary’s hands/arms should somewhat match the color of her face if she’s going to push her sleeves up and do a lot of pointing. (It’s more obvious on the livestream on my screen than it is in the screenshot.)

maybe this should be under Q2 , Kathy Levine is doing her DMQ show and I am half watching , she is so good compared to what they have now, she measures, she shows everything, she is friendly but not silly

She’s total class and everything I once loved about QVC. No more, sadly.

In the past, jean jackets felt restrictive to me, so I generally avoid them. I like this frayed one Susan Grqver is selling tonight (Sunday), but $100??!! I for sure would not get that much use out of it.

In many ways, Kathy is better than several of the current hosts, but I’m not sure she’s going to be able to sell the amount of Diamonique that she did years ago because I’m not sure there’s a market for it. I think it would be interesting if they’d give her a chance to sell something else.

I just saw a post from Julia Cearly QVC on Facebook. (She looked nice in alll the photos, unlike her appearance on QVC at times!)

Anyhow, I realized who she reminds me of. Do any of you know/remember the character of Phyllis on the soap opera The Young and the Restless? She looks like Phyllis!!!

It’s pricey, but I like the style of that jacket. :star_struck:

One thing I really like is it’s not cropped. So many of their recent denim jackets are either peplum or too short for my taste.

I hadn’t thought about it, but I do see the resemblance between Julia and Phyllis. :joy:

I like Julia better than I used to. I saw on her Instagram that she’s in London. I guess Shawn might be a little jealous!

true
but would she WANT to sell something else, you can’t rewind the clock and she probably likes the 2 hours of work

TJ (whom I like, he’s a Millennial Rick, lol) still says “Plow and Hearth,” where the final word rhymes with “worth.” I made that mistake in my youth, but this isn’t the first time he’s said it on air; why has no one corrected him?!

Testing the fashion Monday waters and annoyed that Stacey Rusch is playing social media host. She’s stunningly beautiful but boring AF and part of the irritating “my husband is from a foreign country, aren’t I special?” club and is normally an instant click for me. But the threat of running into Caro during the Q2 gardening shows is the rock that keeps me in the hard place.

They seem to be having trouble finding something for Stacey to do on Q1. She should have graduated from Q2, but there aren’t any main channel spots open.

Remember they pushed her on Leah for awhile.

Some folks need to retire soon or there should be a roster pruning

I really have almost never watched fashion shows until very recently so didn’t know about the Stacey-Leah fizz out.

I’m still waiting for them to give something good to Monifa. I like her a lot and always have and feel like she’s been floundering, too, and for longer. She’s been there longer than Stacey, right? I can’t remember who started when, but hasn’t Monifa been around as long as Julia and Rosina? Julia’s sort of a bit player still, too, but at least got a shot on ITKWD. Rosina’s the only one who seems to be going places (I like her, she’s good, not a gripe just an observation).

bec

I like her, she hasn’t developed any annoying click away habits
agree on Stacey attractive but boring

let’s face it there are too many hosts to fill the hours live on air

I think Leah likes to host alone,
she had Shawn,
