QVC Live Discussion (Part 1)

Wouldn’t you love to know what Isaac is thinking here?

I saw this on the Q’s home page, touting their live streams. My word, how old is that picture of Carolyn??

UGHHHH. Working late, was looking forward to a couple hours of late night, soft-voiced Val.

They paired her with Delicate Rachel, whom they really can’t fire fast enough for my taste.

I agree. Watching hosts pretend to cook is more exciting than watching them pretend to garden.

I enjoy watching Terri and Valerie. Both calm, nicely dressed and good background talk while I empty groceries. I see the firecracker pillow is back.

Late last night I watched the House to Home show with soft-voiced Valerie and Delicate Rachel. I’ve never really paid this new Rachel much attention before so I’m wondering what is it about her that people dislike?

She seemed like a Valerie wannabe.
Val heartily approved :two_hearts:

I would like Bland Rachel much more if she stopped saying “these ones” and changed her facial expression every once in a while. She has the same big eyed grin no matter what she’s selling.

I dislike DR because she is annoying AF on ITKWD because of her laundry list of food issues that either excuse her from partaking or lead her to comment on how, despite this or that food issue, whatever they’re hawking pleases her. I really should hate whomever decided she was the right lackey for Diva, but she is irritating on her own. I keep running into her, and even when she’s selling underwear or Scrub Daddys, she manages to remind us she’s Diva’s Sunday morning sidekick. WE KNOW, DR. We know.

Be gone, irritant!

@PeaceLoveSnark That’s funny, I’ve just kept missing DelRach. Sounds like she has no business being on a food/kitchen show with all of her diet restrictions. Yet she has no problem commenting on it. Lovely. I’ll have to watch for that. It’s gotta annoy Diva deep down.

@Neiman Yes! I think she said “these ones” at least
3 or 4 times and I was annoyed. And her Stepford Wives-esque constant smiling was weird.
Bland-Del Rachel has a nice voice yet she seemed to be trying to mirror Valerie’s voice a little too much.
Lots of loving gazes were exchanged

Yes the smiling! They all have to smile as much as possible, but there’s something weird in hers.

I may also just simply be old. :woman_shrugging:

Nooo it’s not your age😂
More than one of us has noticed the vacant eyes and pasted on smile. Like you said they all have to smile but hers is there even when it shouldn’t be. She’s taking the acting part of the job to another, sort of disturbing, level.

New Bland Rachel is the television shopping host created by Artificial Intelligence, programmed to smile incessantly.

How do you know she’s real?

So she’s the first (that we know of) AI model of a perfect sales host🤯 That’s wild!

And the imperfections in diet and grammar were programmed in to fool us?

Well played, QVC. Well played.

They look like dollar store merchandise. Pat looks like she’s trying to think of something nice to say.

Of course, she had to have at least one squirrel item.

Whenever I see the term “Delicate Rachel” on here I always flashback to the Seinfeld episode where George calls Elaine’s friend Wendy a “Delicate Genius” :joy:

I had never seen her before. I thought she did very well with VPH last night. I was surprised. She kept right up with Val and had some good ideas. I didn’t like the these ones comments either but other than that I thought she was really good.

In my area all the 99cent stores are shutting down. After Covid, many products were no longer 99cents and went to $1.25 and higher. I always loved going in and browsing the holiday decor, paper products, and unique crap you wouldn’t find in a normal retail store. Girl next door products would’ve fit right in.
Here’s my floral latex glove haul which were 99cents a piece next to Girl next door. Obviously the QVC gloves are made more sturdier, thicker and meant to last but they’re $33 plus shipping. I’ll take my chances with my 5 pairs of latex gloves. I’m really bummed the store is shutting down though.
