QVC Live Discussion (Part 1)

The last couple of Ant’s videos I skimmed through were made at her father’s house. She showed off his garden which was most impressive.

:unamused: I think life on the high seas (sailing between North and South Carolina) got old real fast. I can’t imagine her settling for that lifestyle after living in that Philly mansion with the inground pool and massive gardens. No way they’re happy living on that wooden bathtub. Besides, she always seems to be looking for a place on dry land to crash.

If you’ve never seen her house, there is a video on YouTube. It’s a real jaw dropper! Just punch in : Antonella Nester House.

Wow I checked out Antonellas former home. What an incredible drop in her lifestyle. Crazy. If that house were for sale here in San Diego the price would be multi millions of dollars. What a fall from grace. Sad if it is a result of huge medical bills.

 I believe it’s largely due to overspending and simply living beyond their means. Antonella always laughed about needing to stop spending so much money, that too much of her paycheck went right back to QVC. Not to mention that two unemployed people who have chosen not to work, and, have mortgage payments, isn’t going to work.

Can’t even imagine what the mortgage payments were, and the GoFundMe cashline is gone.

I could never live like she does now. I’d rather be in a small apartment than living what is basically a homeless life.

The whole thing just sounds fishy. From living beyond her means when she was working at QVC, to being let go and unable to maintain that lifestyle and then finding out that you had cancer, I do feel sorry for her. Living on the boat was dumb, and living off the kindness of strangers donating funds had to end at some point. Then all moving in with the adult daughter, which violated her lease and had them all evicted is nuts! I can see why it drove the daughter to drink (but she shouldn’t have been driving). It’s really sad all around, but, clearly, Ant and co. have no real values or drive.

Josie just said “lube it up” in reference to applying her Milk product. Oh my!

I cannot with all the whooping noises today. It’s downright abrasive.

And literally every time I have switched over to the Josie show Jane is mentioning her daughters. Why doesn’t Jane understand continuous references to two people we cannot see do not help sell a skincare product?

Not even when she almost cries telling the story?

Antonella lived about mile away from me in the house she owned before they bought “the mansion”. It was a beautiful new home, probably 3500-4000 sf, in a small, lovely neighborhood of really nice houses. They sold that and bought way above their means with the 3 story house with elevator, movie theater etc. When they lost their jobs it was a buyer’s market and they were forced to sell their house at a loss.

I also watched the video. WHAT made her think she was that high up on QVC ladder to afford that HOUSE? That home is for a CEO or someone who has many more years of selling years ( I think David V, or La Lisa) who could really sell. Not Ant who sold the cheap stuff and clothes. After she dyed her hair blonde she looked horrible. I think she got let go shortly after that.

Ant started acting “goofy” around the time she died her hair. I noticed a big personality change at that time. It’s too bad. I enjoyed her shows until that all happened. I think the realization of her financial situation plus her health issues was just too much for her to take in. That family really has major problems.

When her father passes her and Bubby will probably move in. I think they’re hurting for money They’ll probably never manage their finances well at this stage.

It’s my thought there are some real family issues, either mentally or financially or both. A GoFundMe account was started and then Captain Chips Ahoy had a heart attack and more donations were asked for. Good grief didn’t they ever hear of buying insurance? I wonder if the whole family is holed up at her dad’s house?

I’m pretty sure her mother is still alive and lives there with her father.

I’m sure Diva could afford a home like that, but interestingly, he’s lived in the same modest home, in a middle class family neighborhood for over 25 years. I live in the next town over from him.

hopefully he’s saving for the rainy day that is on the QHorizon

:clap::clap: I applaud David for not feeling the need nor the pressure to “upgrade” his lifestyle. Bigger is not necessarily always better.

The smartest piece of financial advice I’ve received came from my Great Aunt who told me that whenever you get a raise, put it in the bank. When you really need or want something, whether it’s a necessity, replacement, or an improvement, the money will be at hand when you need it.

Thanks for offering this to us! I tried it on two items and it wouldn’t accept it for me. When I clicked on the “details” info it did say “for select customers only,” so I guess I was not selected!
