Product Reviews

I’ve purchased the satin trim tanks for years. Really nice quality, 100% cotton, wash well.

Anyone order the set of 3 Peria purse organizers that were “as is” for $10 on free shipping day? I got two sets. They’re so well done. My SIL and is visiting from Singapore (ex pats) and I don’t want to gift her something heavy to carry back. The small size organizer will be perfect for her. And I only spent $3.33 for a gift.

Mine came yesterday and although the box states “as is,” the products were perfect and new.

Right?! They were in perfect condition - “as is”’is always a gamble but so far I’ve had good luck. I think we got these for a steal considering the quality and free shipping to your front door.

Yes these were from QVC. I’m not elevated enough for a gift closet but I do have a junk drawer with gift type items in it :joy:

I hardly know where to start, I’m so furious and sick right now. After decades of shopping with QVC, I will never spend another penny with them. And I wanted to share this story with you as a cautionary tale. Here’s what happened.

I ordered an Affinity diamond bangle earlier this month. The bracelet arrived and I was pleased with it. As I always do when I buy new jewelry, I inspected it and didn’t spot any defects. I wore it for two days and received compliments on how pretty it was. On the third day, I was at work, looked at my wrist and the bracelet was gone. I searched everywhere at work, home and in my car - nothing.

The bracelet had one of those “push in and click” clasps, which must have broken. So today I called QVC customer service and (after a very long wait in voice queue hell) reported that they had sent me a defective item. Guess what? They refused to issue me a refund or replace the bangle unless I send them the defective one. I patiently explained I can’t do that because I no longer have the bracelet, thanks to the broken clasp. I added that for the several hundred dollars it cost, I expected to receive a bracelet in perfect condition and since that didn’t happen, I expected that for a long-time customer they would make things right. Their response? “Sorry you lost your bracelet, but that’s not our fault and we can’t do anything. It’s not our policy.”

I can’t even describe how angry I am. I just cancelled a couple of pending orders, will never buy from them again, and encourage everyone to think twice before doing business with this greedy sinking ship of a company. Their arrogance just astounds me.

I’ll keep watching Q just for snarking purposes, and you can bet I won’t spare any snark.

Did a supervisor say that?

I’m really surprised! With most companies, if you request to speak with a supervisor and are patient and polite and understanding, they’ll almost always make it right. The very least they should do is send a replacement.

I’d consider filing a complaint with your credit card. Not sure what they’d do in this particular instance (since the bracelet is missing) but it was clearly defective and QVC should stand behind their products.

Sorry you’re going through this headache. Hopefully QVC or your credit card does the right thing.

Oh no - I’m feeling sick for you that this happened. They should offer their sincerest apologies AND a refund. Tell that to that smug smarmy Michelle Lau on her social media - she needs to be held accountable since she’s the brand rep. She’s the worst.

That WAS the supervisor’s response. I was calm and polite while speaking with her and asked her why QVC doesn’t stand behind their products and holds customers responsible for issues with defective items. I currently work part time in customer service and my employer would be deeply unhappy with me if I dared to offer a similar reply to a patron, especially a repeat customer in good standing.

Thank you for the tip about contacting my credit card company to see if they can help. Even if they say no, it’s certainly worth asking them.

I think QVC has changed their approach to customer service, because in the past when I’ve had to report problems with products, even food items, they instantly issued me refunds. There are also changes in their rules for canceling orders - they now make it difficult to cancel items that aren’t advance orders. That’s not ok with me and from now on I’ll spend my money elsewhere.

I have decided to give up on my LocknLock glass containers. Over the years, I have found that they chip easily around the rim. Last night I heated some potatoes in the microwave in a square LnL with a vented lid, and I found glass in my food when I started to eat. I love to use glass containers, and I love the idea of the vented lid, but I do not like how easily they chip. I think I will start using Anyday containers now. They are nice heavy glass without the fragile lip, the lids are vented, and if they break they will break into large pieces instead of shards of glass. I have had just too many of the LnL pieces chip. I have not had trouble with the 9x13 or the 8x8, but the smaller ones chip easily. I have also found that the vent on the lids breaks easily. I don’t think I will even donate them. No one needs glass in their food.

Ok so i go to Marsha6, TJ Maxx, etc. They have halloween out and some new crap called Summerween with skeletons and ghosts in pastels and pised in swimming tubes, drinking cocktails, holding pineapples, oranges etc. WTH is this? It was all poorly painted, chipped and goofy looking. The traditional Halloween merch was no better. I love Halloween but this year the desperation to get consumers to buy this shat is out of control. Anyone else see this?

Apparently Summerween is a trendy thing now, according to news reporters on some of the local TV stations here in Phoenix. I still think it’s a marketing gimmick to make people buy more home deco crap. And we really don’t need it in Phoenix because we’re already into Day of the Dead skeletons and spooks almost year round.
