🐾 Paws and Remember

I’m so sorry for your loss. Reading this thread– the huge love you have for your kitty boy shines through every word. They put their trust in us to do what’s right for them no matter how hard for us, and you came through for him. I’m glad you and Mr. Betty got to sit with him ā€œafterā€, because I firmly believe they do not leave right away and that he was there–feeling your love. I also firmly believe you see them again in some way…sometimes they even come back to you in this life. I worked as a Vet OR Tech for many years, and I have seen some amazing things happen over the years….

Take care… sending you and Mr. a hug.

my heart aches for you; it’s so hard but you made all the right decisions

Not to mean any high jacking or disrespect, but why did I shed a few tears for the kitty and couldn’t even muster up a drop for some humans I knew who passed?

Depends on what those people who passed were like. Losing my sweet 2nd husband nearly destroyed me. When I heard that my horrible 1st husband died all I felt was ā€œWelp, his karma finally caught up to him.ā€

Alberti lost his adorable little dog Prince Charming, he was 16. It hurts my heart when I read things like this. RIP little guy.

That is sad. I love his name.

:hugs: :hugs: :hugs: This is one of the youngest of our backyard kittens. This furry little beauty is about 75% long, fluffy gray hair, and 25% kitten hiding underneath. I expect she’ll be camped out in our garage ā€œcat loungeā€ during the winter, but I’d really like to see her inside the house. Those eyes … !

:snowman: :snowman: :snowman: Winter will be arriving in the blink of an eye. Please keep an eye out for the homeless strays, and do whatever you can to keep them safe, warm, and fed. :kissing_cat:

:snowflake: :snowflake: :snowflake: While the majority of the United States is under weather watches and warnings, please be alert for any and all of our furry friends wandering the streets homeless. Do whatever ever you can, anything to providing a plate of food or temporary shelter for them, even if it’s nothing more that a sturdy storage box with a warm blanket inside. If you have a porch, perhaps you can set up an outdoor shelter to protect them from the ravages of winter. Any small act of love and kindness will be so appreciated by them.
