Big time Amazon shopper here. We can get just about anything for our fifth wheel without me going everywhere to see if any RV supply store has it. I also love the reviews.
I do like Kohl’s for towels and bedding.

Thank you @UglyBetty for opening this new topic.
Thrifting, mercari, Poshmark and eBay has replaced outlet shopping for me. I also throw in a little Walmart because their quality has improved and surpassed Target when you factor in price point. Mainly thrifting is my thing. It’s a great way to reuse clothing, decor, housewares etc. and give it another life for pennys on the dollar. It’s a win win.
I’m sorely behind the times with this boot style that came on the scene over at QVC a few years ago. I’ve never gravitated towards them because I’m not a huge fan of bows, the price was a little ridiculous and I have enough UGG boots. Also, I’m in a climate that doesn’t get super cold, it’s more of a fashion thing. However, lately I’m seeing the bow coquette aesthetic everywhere and I don’t own any tall black UGGS. I found these brand new with box and original factory packaging Koolaburra by UGG black boots for $21 with FREE shipping from eBay. Which is nuts because shipping alone would be 1/2 to 2/3rds of the final price. I’m thrilled with them and will be spraying them down my UGG sheepskin protection spray. I used to go to a store in Ventura, CA called Deckers which is a true Ugg outlet store - not the outlet mall type of store front. They had a lot of deals. I’ve seen boutique owners come shop here for their stores. But nothing compared to this find.
I love my Ralph Lauren duvets that my mom made for me out of their sheets, which were made in Italy! They launder beautifully and are softer over time. My fitted sheets have not survived the years because the elastic has been shot.
Agreed! The online return fees are sometimes so outrageous, it makes more sense to give things away than get a $7 refund after fees.
If there are any Chico’s shoppers here, they are having major sales right now - up to 70% off. I buy a lot at my clothes at Chico’s - jeans and pants, especially, as well as sweaters. I never pay full price - I always wait for sales and use coupons. I’m in their rewards program (it used to be called the Passport Club and is now Founders Club) which gives me lots of coupons, special offers and always free shipping from their website. I just bought a pair of navy wide-leg high-waisted pants that were originally $99, reduced to $37.99, and I had a 20% coupon which took the price down to $30. I also ordered a gorgeous sweater I’ve had my eye on, which started out at $129.50 (way overpriced!), and is now reduced to $49.99. Even better, I used a $25 off birthday reward coupon, so I paid $24.99 for it. I really do get some good deals there!
@Booney, when i was working i bought a lot of my othes and accessories at Chico’s. Yes, i so was a member of the RewRds program, always had coupons, but if i reslly, really wanted something that was not on sale i would buy it anyway. Their clothes are so unique. The Chico’s in my mall closed several years ago, the nearest one is about 20 miles away, which is a good thing, less access, less temptation.
Banana Republic Factory (online)
Chef’s kiss…
When I was working, I really liked J Jill. I did wait for sales and discounts. The Wearever collection was a favorite. I liked their pants.
Fortunately, I have a Chico’s store a couple of miles from me, and two more within 10 miles. I visit all of them because, although each store carries some of the same core merchandise, they also have items that you might not find in one of the other stores. I also love their jewelry.
i buy my waffle first layer winter shirts from Gap Factory and for some reason I think they are same parent co as Banana Republic? Anyway, both good. And good prices
Yes, Gap Inc. owns Gap, Banana Republic, Athleta and Old Navy.
Wow, wow, wow, I cannot believe how low quality some formerly good brands have become! Ordered DH some shirts from Brooks Brothers during their New Year’s sale. I opened them up for him to try on and the fabric is hideously cheap. I mistakenly ordered poplin over his usual oxford, and the shirts are literally see thru and feel prone to premature wear. Returning all three and won’t be shopping there again. This was on their full price website, not the outlet. Can’t imagine how bad the outlet quality must be…
On the other hand, Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger continue to impress.
Speaking of menswear, I cannot speak highly enough about Michael Kors coats. Stylish, high quality, and very becoming.
If Brooks Brothers is poor quality now, that truly depresses me. UGH!
@UglyBetty. Your hubs must be a great dresser. I shop Duluth Traading Company for Mr. PC. He’s more of a Paul Bunyan dude!
He’s not a great dresser, I’m just a great shopper!
Not glamorous, but a utilitarian bargain. (unless you’re hell-bent on buying D&Co on "clearance for $50bucks.) Athletic Works Men's & Big Men's Fleece Elastic Bottom Sweatpants, Sizes S-4XL - Walmart.com
