I mentioned Mark Charlesā salary in another thread, now I wonder if QVC is trying to save Davidās salary by pushing him to retire early. Moving him to Q2, allowing endless vacations and thereby losing viewers. Maybe heās close to a contracted payout and they want him to leave sooner.

I never saw it as creepy, just disconnected. He doesnāt have kids and doesnāt live near any family with kids. The closest he has is friends and coworkers, but theyāre not bringing their kids to dinner parties and meetings. He canāt relate and forces it for the audience. In real life, I doubt he talks about peopleās kids as often, and if he does itās probably when they bring up an accomplishment or milestone.

but how much could Diva be making $300 or 400 K a year he must pull in 10x that in sales
or maybe they want young guys so DV and MCM are relieved of duty??
Iām sure after 30+ years he earns more than double that. Someone posted a copy of job openings for QVC/HSN hosts. The starting salary was $150kā¦thatās for an inexperienced newbie. The long time hosts are making big bucks.

With new hosts starting at $150,000 base annual salary, you can bet senior hosts make 3X or 4X that.
And the annual bonus is likely based on actual onair sales.
That buys a nice primary residence, vacation home and multiple overseas vacations.
(Private school for littles not included.)

Iām thinking his sales are slipping as more and more viewers are younger or have enough kitchen stuff. The decline of quality in the items doesnāt help, and everyone has heard his stories over and over.

I think the sales may be slipping because the shows lately are all prepared food items and really no cooking things at all. I have stopped watching a lot because of that. And, since we are getting closer to there holidays, that wonāt change at all.

I havenāt watched him in years until today. I do know, though, he struggles with his weight. Sadly, he took a bite out of that pumpkin cheesecake. With all his chats regarding low carb living, I felt sorry for him with a job in conflict of his diet.

He definitely doesnāt abstain completely from sugar and carbs anymore.
Heās been āsamplingā everything in sight for quite sometime. I would say well over a year.
He may be continuing his journey off-air in private life.
