I don’t know how you set this up @UglyBetty but it’s genius. I was at the old place where they would make pervy comments about Jacque Gonzales’s feet. Then snarking moved to prime timer where I got banned for liking a comment which was deemed offensive. I haven’t been able to snark for years! So glad to have landed here -

It seems Princess Buzz Kill “stepped away” from modding. Whether she did it voluntarily or not, I’m glad the power-drunk ninny is back to being amongst the commoners.

All the mods quit during the week hiatus, shitty or not. There’s only two community managers and two .ods running the place now, all new blood.

Apparently the existing mods were asked to sign an agreement with all sorts of conditions and caveats which understandably, for an unpaid volunteer job, they refused to do. Sounds like a deliberate strategy to clear all of the old staff out so this new consultant woman and the people she brought in could take over.
I’m sure some of the old mods must have been ok but certainly Princess PissPot was a power crazed control freak.

The two CM’s last day is the 31st. There’s a forum (Counting On) which may be closed on 4/1. They’ve given the lovely posters there absolutely no direction regarding how to improve the forum.
It’s all bullshit.

I would love to see the statistics showing the number of visitors to the Primetime website in January vs the number of visitors in March. I’m guessing web traffic has taken a significant nose dive since the new moderation system went into effect and some forums were closed.

I’ve never seen a more destructive take-down of a previously successful forum than this. They are going down in flames. It’s so sad. All that history, gone.

When I click on an old notification which has a link to the Sales Prevention Team thread I get a message saying “you do not have permission to view that page”. This suggests to me that the threads are still there but have been moved to an area that only staff can access. I wonder if the site continues to implode they’ll try to resurrect them.

That thought occurred to me too, @Burly. I read on the Reddit site where many former mods (and PT posters) frequent that the one-year contract for the consultant, Ruth Diaz, they hired to “clean up” the site expires on 3/31. There’s speculation that it won’t be extended. So once she’s gone, who knows? Views, posts and ad revenue have to be down.

Would people go back to PT though? This site seems to allow more freedom for the users to say what they want to say without fear of reprisal.

Exactly. I can’t see going back to PT, especially if the wrist slapping/heavy modding were to continue. The new rules took all the fun out of that place.

Good point. I’m new to Shopping Snark (I guess we all are 
). I think it’s much better here than the Reddit QVC forum, and I don’t care for Facebook, so I’m not interested in joining those groups. Even if Primetime reinstated the old threads and lightened up on the moderation, I really didn’t like all the pop up ads and videos that increased over the past year, so I’d probably be reluctant to return.
