QVC management seems to believe the old adage: “There’s no such thing as bad publicity.” They see complaints about host behavior as evidence that people are watching their network. And I guess that they figure, even those who watch only for snark purposes might see some items they like and will buy them.
Management knows their sales are declining, but they also know shock value draws eyeballs and word of mouth. So maybe by encouraging the bad behavior they’re trying to see how far they can push the boundaries of decency before the public stops buying altogether or the FCC shuts them down. Or maybe they want to confirm the idea that these days, anything goes.
I didn’t just complain about the language. I said that it is weird that Shawn just walks off the set and leaves the reps hanging. She touches people without their consent. She seems unprepared for her shows and cannot articulate pertinent information. She appears unkempt and doesn’t show clothing/makeup/jewelry to their advantage. She acts rude to reps and cohosts and it doesn’t seem to be a “bit.” Nothing that anyone at QVC couldn’t also see.
Please let me clarify. When I said QVC is pushing the boundaries of decency, I wasn’t referring to just the hosts’ language.
Indecent host behavior includes them disrespecting other hosts (like for example Shawn bullying Chelsea and the production staff), OAPs, and members of the audience. Rudeness and crudeness are not decent and would not be tolerated at most workplaces, especially those that interact with the public. Would an airline allow flight crews to come to work filthy, half drunk and avoiding, manhandling or antagonizing the people they’re supposed to serve? I think not. Would a decent company spokesperson scold or talk down to their customers? No way.
Decent people show care for others. Too many Q hosts care only about themselves and don’t give a damn about being competent, caring or pleasant. Again, not how I’d define a decent person.
Absolutely. I was just clarifying that in addition to foul language I reported that Shawn (and others) act like they are at a drunken frat party. They truly are lacking common decency and any sense of being in a work environment. You said it better than I did.
I think the NYDG OAP had his own show last night. Not sure why this crew all gathered together to cheer him on. Skunky said she was standing like she was “going “potty". Always keeping it classy. Jill was even pretending she wanted to be a part of this embarrassment.
Why did Skunk announce that she was standing like she was peeing??? That means she realized it and did it on purpose, like it was a favorite pose or something. SOOOOOOO DISGUSTING.
The 2 blabber mouths on today. Talking about skin care. where would shawn be without == her fake boobs, fillers, botox and high end facials. Dr Denese also said she has had cosmetic procedures. A bunch of phonies.
Not only that, last night Skunks had on the biggest, blackest false eyelashes I’ve ever seen. She looked like she had glued caterpillars above and below each eye.
