QVC Live Discussion

A few days late to this conversation, but I did some digging on Amy from Clarks. On her LinkedIn page, she has her employer listed as Clarks:

Interestingly, she posted a “QVC full time host 2024 audition” video on her YouTube page on June 10th, 2024, and according to her Facebook, she was let go from Clark’s on June 25th, 2024. Another comment that she has auditioned for QVC multiple times, but this is the only audition video on your YouTube channel. It could be a total coincidence, could be related, who knows. The audition is pretty underwhelming.

Some of the presenters we see representing multiple products as “experts” are contracted through marketing agencies. Here’s the agency that represents some of the kitchen OAPs (MarkCharles, Jeremy Parker, Stacey Stauffer, Jessie Holeva, Adina Miccio): https://www.gla-sales.com/team

MarkCharles has them listed as his employer on LinkedIn as does Jeremy Parker:

Why does Sandra’s new hairdo make her look so hunchback-y? I can’t figure it out!!??

She looks like she doesn’t have a neck.

Just watched Amy’s audition video. I thought it was fine. A little too cutesy, but not any worse than some of the current hosts. She was engaged and there were no hesitations or dead air. And she is clean and well groomed. I know “clean” is a low bar, but when you are as familiar with Skunky as we all are, clean is not always a given. Don’t know why she was let go from Clark’s, but if they are looking to hire a new host, seeing as Kerkrazy and JenCon are PT now, I think Amy would be fine.

PJD’s hair always looks good. Granted it may be partly due to a fabulous colorist but it never looks out of date or sloppy.

And she actually looks nice in the D&Co tunic (which seems like it could be a bit unforgiving).

Pat looks so much better when Mally big mouth does her makeup, she definitely needs false lashes.

I was thinking the same thing. How can her hair affect her posture and physical stature so much? But it does somehow. This is my favorite hair style she’s ever had. So fresh and cute.

Some people should not have bangs. Kerstin is better without azz well.

:joy: Kerstin’s hairline has receded to the point that she has to do something to cover her hair loss.

It’s either bangs or a biker bandana.

Heal thyself physician. Not that either of the folks I’m talking about are physicians. Kerweirdo is not any kind of example of what she preaches. AND Peter Thomas Roth has huge deep wrinkles/furrows on his forehead. His eyes are very droopy and wrinkled. I’m sure if he shaved his face we would see more. And please the before and after photos are the same year after year. Complete hoax. Just another attempt to empty our wallets with his false promises.

That’s the same with Josie Mammals Milk. She has been using that same model since she launched Milk. I stopped buying it when it went rancid after a year. You only need a little bit and that big bottle goes bad.

In the Kitchen with Not Mary. Demonstrating a Prepology non-stick electric multi-cooker. Doing the slideout and…it sticks. Grab the wet yucky towel to wipe it and…it sticks! :joy:

QVC must own that Prepology line, don’t they? Why the heck else would they continue to demonstrate cheap products that never work? And that OAP with the stupid hair doesn’t help. I am sure that many of those products, if people actually order them, are returned. They can’t be making any money from this line.

Yup. Prepology is an in-house brand.

It seems to be a lower grade replacement for Cooks Essentials, which actually had some good stuff I still use.

The problem with Prepology (to me) is that they try to hard to invent silly solutions for kitchen problems that don’t really exist.

You can do most of the stuff with kitchen items you already have, like some good knives and such.

I bought a Cooks Essentials hot air popcorn popper years ago on clearance (maybe $15?) and I use it constantly!
