QVC Live Discussion (Part 2)

I saw a bag of Dubai chocolate at Marshall’s, and the clerk said they were really good. Fortunately, I don’t like pistachios, so it was an easy pass.

I recently got a large bar of Dubai chocolate at the grocery store for $ 20. I forget the number of ounces but it was one of those large bars that is divided into squares. I’ve been wanting to try it, so I said what the heck. I thought it was pretty good. The filling inside was pretty soft. I don’t think it had a strong pistachio flavor, but it did taste nutty. I forget what country it came from. Not Dubai. Maybe Jordan ? I’ll have to take some pics next time I go to the store if they still have it.

I must admit that the Russell Stover’s looks very tempting!

I’ll now go out and look for “Dubai Style” chocolates, country of origin unimportant (to me.)

Diva’s show featured two 9” pies for — wait for it — $89.99!! But I’m sure the fact that the owner of the orchard was there to talk about them, and she said picked the apples herself for the QVC pies, makes them totally worth it!

I think he pulled that shirt from his “pre-health journey” closet!

   That shirt … what’s old is new again ?

 I remember my Dad and my uncles all wearing those shirts, and coincidentally, most of them were bowlers. Sadly, they’re all gone, but had they been alive today, they would all be over 100 !

 Wonder if Big D’s shirt belonged to his father?

I stopped at the gas station the other day and they had Dubai chocolate bars for sale at the register! :face_with_crossed_out_eyes: Think they were $10-12 and were the size of a Hershey bar.

They had Dubai chocolate bars at Trader Joe’s, they sold out in a day, haven’t seen them since. Their big 1 lb chocolate bars are very good, they come in milk, bitter and with hazelnuts . Can’t remember the cost but most likely no more than $5.

I’d try it at Trader Joe’s prices. Grocery stores are charging $16-20! I love pistachios, but the filling looks too gross for that price LOL!

They were also very popular when I was in Greece.

I love chocolate but my cheap azz is not paying $20 for a bar of chocolate unless it’s taller than me. I’m low-rent at a Hershey bar with almonds. (no way dissing those that liked the Dubai chocolate).

:face_with_hand_over_mouth: :face_with_hand_over_mouth: :face_with_hand_over_mouth: Russell Stover Dubai “STYLE” Chocolates @ $24.99 … How much would they cost if they were actually made in Dubai?

 Just slip me one of these babies, and I will be forever grateful !

This was my dad’s favorite candy bar. Haven’t thought about it for years. Thanks for the memory.

I’ve tried the Dubai style chocolates a few times. They are ok, but nothing I’d spend too much money on. This is a fad I won’t think twice about when it fades into obscurity.
