I know we comment frequently on how the hosts are often wearing such tight clothing, and I suspect it’s their obsession with size. I have a Susan Graver story about that.
About 25 years ago, when I was still working I bought many Graver liquid knit tops. Her size small fit me perfectly, and she always mentioned that she wore a size small.
Since retired, I don’t buy many clothes, but just a couple of years ago, I noticed that Graver was now saying she was in an x-small. Recently, I ordered one of her tops and think I know why her size changed. I ordered my usual small, and it was not only tissue thin, but it was way too big. I’d definitely have needed an x-small–Susan’s size.
My guess is that to compete with the other QVC nuts who are always x-small or xx-small, Susan just cut her clothes a little bigger, so she, too, could claim a smaller size.
That QVC nonsense may be why Ali Blaba. has poured herself into those shorts. At QVC, size matters–the smaller the better.
Just turned on the TV and was greeted with Kim Gravel’s camel toe in the way too small size. Just because they stretch doesn’t mean you have to buy an Xsmall.
I think that is probably the same as with Diane Gilman clothes. She designs for the size she wants to be and tells people to order your dream size. So, I can get away with a 4. In regular stores, not so much. Plus, now she has this Tri-size fit that 0-00-000 is ONE size, 2-4-6 is another size, etc. I think that is so strange. If I really wore a 2, why would I want to order a 6? That said, I do like her clothes!
But it’s important to dress for your body type, and skin tight pants and shorts don’t do Ali Blaba any favors. She would look so much better if she’d go up a size or two.
Mary said she was in Kim’s TSV shorts size 12 because they didn’t have a 10 and they were loose on her.
The entire time I started watching the show I kept thinking Mary needed to size up the shorts. Mary is kidding herself if she thinks she should wear a size 10
Kim says she wears a size Medium but if that’s true, she’s squeezing herself into it because the seams on those shorts were screaming. The sweater she wore earlier today was tight in the upper arms, making them look like overstuffed sausages. She’s not helping her “brand” by making the clothes look so ill-fitting.
Gravuh is on now wearing one of her dresses which is sleeveless and she said the style of the neckline draws the eye to that area instead of the skin on the back of the arms. But the saggy skin on HER arms was clearly visible and trust me, the dress neckline did nothing to detract from seeing it.
There IS an audience for this stuff. Yesterday when Kim was hawking her shorts, they had a phone call that was so cringe worthy, I had to change the channel. The woman went on and one, encouraged by Kim, of course. It seems that there are a lot of pathetic people out there who are ‘friends’ with vendors/hosts, and just buy whatever they’re selling. Really sad.
