QVC Live Discussion (Part 2)

This face reformer facial tool looks like something you would pickup at Dollar General.

What the actual F is this show with Shawn in her closet?

I never watch Shawn, but doing this livestream from her dressing room is so bizarre, you can’t look away. She is all over the place, eating chocolate covered pretzels and now putting on her false eye lashes.

I think it’s kind of funny that she’s so concerned about false eyelashes when she doesn’t seem to be concerned about washing or combing her hair. She is also a big fan of super light beige lipstick which she wears most of the time. Someone back in the early 1990’s must’ve complimented her about it.

yet some people like her and how she acts, which I can’t understand at all

It’s snowing again here! After 15 inches from Saturday through Sunday and some roads still lumpy and bumpy. (Shaking fist at sky)

On topic. Came home, turned on TV to an Irish show hosted by Julia. I hardly ever see her, but as mentioned elsewhere, she is doing a nice job. I am Irish and German, and my lapsed Catholic self is somehow intrigued by the Connemara marble Mother Mary pendant based on a German painting. lol :face_with_spiral_eyes::zany_face:

Edit: upon closer look at the pendant, Mother Mary up close does not look as serene as I like to think of her! Eyes a bit wonky.

SNOW…I had to run a few errands this afternoon and realized it was doing it again. We also got almost 15” over the weekend. They’re saying “only” 1”-2” tonight. :expressionless_face: Yay?

Julia is doing a nice job today. I thought I saw Janie selling Irish sweaters and some jewelry late last night? Maybe I was hallucinating!

Did anyone else get the survey about shopping on QVC/HSN streaming service(s)? I wish there would have been some more opportunities for free response regarding how presentations affect my decision to make purchases. I am still buying things, but hardly ever from QVC.

One thing that I found interesting was that they asked several questions about if I am willing to spend more for high quality and premium products. I did manage to make a comment that I don’t consider “vanity” celebrity brands or in-house host “designed “ goods a reason to spend more. I saw a cute Martha Stewart spring jacket ($80) and a pretty similar one on Amazon for $38. And I also saw a dress by the Pioneer Woman for $145! Are you kidding? Why??

Oh for fucks sake gravel is now hawking her “selling with soul” MASTERCLASS…

That’s all she is about. She is a money-making machine. For her, it’s acquisition . The rest of it - the prayer and counseling and guidance - is all pretense, IMO.

And didn’t she start out selling her coaching for young beauty pageant contestants?

Why would anyone want to watch that Gravel class ? Are there tons of people out there dying to learn how to sell polyester clothing made in China ?

And of course Blabby the leprechaun is closing out St. Patrick’s Day on the Q. Katia was modeling a pendant at the top of the show. Her hair is looking wild tonight ! And Blabby is sporting her Cruela de Vil hair tonight.

Gravel’s next stop will be Shark Tank. Like Lori Greiner.

Is Lori Grenier even on QVC anymore ?

She was a huge investor in Scrub Daddy. Do they sell that? She has lots of investments and offers the same thing Gravel is talking about. Plus she has a few other businesses and does speaking engagements. But not on QVC for years.

Also she has those hideous super long extensions. Looks terrible

Yes, they still sell Scrub Daddy on QVC. I haven’t bothered to look, but I guess they probably still sell other products that she “invented” or invested in. She used to constantly sell those little silver safekeeping anti tarnish joolery boxes. I did buy one once as a gift.

I see Scrub Daddies and Mommy’s on the supermarket so I don’t know why anyone would buy them from QVC and have to s&h?! I have a few. I like them but I don’t love the, if that makes any sense. LOL!!!

Ahh, Lori Grenier. She was on a lot when I first started watching QVC. Remember the “Fill-a-bowl?” I know I bought a few things from her.

I think I had fill a bowl & quickly threw it out a few years later. This was before I knew about Goodwill. LOL!!!
