@ChitChat7085 ………Courtney (I think of her as FauxCo) only looks like someone who uses knives and plastics. She tries, but she ain’t foolin’ nobody lol. As always, JMHO.

An unfortunate look on Pam this morning during the D&C show. If she had on a navy top and the cardigan was left open, it would have been marginally better. Who is styling these models??

They’re currently selling 5.5lb of tempura shrimp for $150. :exploding_head:

This is the same shrimp they serve on Carnival cruise ships FYI. :face_vomiting:

I will never understand the appeal of buying food online. I get that some folks are far from places that have good food, but I guess I could just never imagine spending that much money on something I could cook for myself easily enough. Even if I had to drive an hour or more to source it, it would still be cheaper.

This is literally just Sysco food repackaged with a much higher price. I’ve seen this exact boneless fried chicken on local Vegas buffets before. They use it as chicken parm, or serve with gravy depending on the day. $1.11 per ounce on QVC. PER OUNCE. Meanwhile, those buffets are like $15-20.

Kirkland tempura shrimp no more than $25 for a box, probably closer to 20 but it’s really really good

Their attempt at making meatball sliders :joy:

The meatball was 1/3 the size of the already small bun, and kept rolling off. The geniuses didn’t think to cut it in half.

Why are the edges of this salmon yellow? I’ve never seen yellow salmon. They sure whisked that plate away fast! :face_vomiting:

They can’t stop talking about how each piece of the fried chicken TSV has 23g of protein.

I haven’t heard anybody rave about the 710mg of sodium, though. Happy Dance, there it is!

12 grapefruits for $45, $3.75 each. The skin on the one they cut looked to be 1/3 inch or thicker. Hope those three tablespoons of juice are worth it!

$55 for 36 16oz bottles of flavored water.

$1.53 per bottle.

$0.10 per ounce… of water…

Meanwhile, Crystal Light (or similar) flavor drops are under $5 and will last you more than 576oz.

I used to buy bottled water, and even the fancy crystal ice, but was shocked when I did the math. Since then, it’s been a Brita filter and old fashioned ice trays. The environment was never a consideration to stop, but my bank account sure was!

80 bucks for veggie fries

I like Dr Pragers product but the price is nuts

I use a Britta filter also.

Which brita filter do you use?

Love the FauxCo reference!

I get the pitcher at Costco when they have a special and if their own filters when they have them

I use the Brita pitcher and also switched from bottled water in the early days of the pandemic (or, ā€œthe special situationā€ as David called it) when bottled water became hard to find. I never looked back. Having the Brita is so much more convenient and cost effective.

And after getting used to it, I actually prefer the tap water. Crisper and more refreshing. Now, bottled water tastes like the bottles it’s been sitting in.

I have whichever standard size white Brita pitcher was sold by Amazon a few years back. It was under $20. Not the electronic model, I just replace the filters whenever the taste begins to change. The handle finally cracked after nearly two years of everyday use, and I’ll replace it with the same model. The large pitcher is great for refilling ice trays and the Keurig.
