QVC Live Discussion (Part 1)

I have the affinity diamond angel wing necklace, ring and bracelet set that I collected while Michael O’connel (?) was the OAP for the brand. It doesn’t sparkle much but each item wasn’t overly priced like they are now, and I like the sentiment. I liked Michael very much, he was so much better at explaining the jewelry than that lady. She comes off as a used car sales person.

I like the sweater but not with gingham pants!

I was up with insomnia last night at 2am and caught the Firelight show with Rosina and Michelle. During one ring presentation, Rosina made a comment that you could pair the Firelight with Affinity diamonds or Diamonique. Michelle quickly jumped in to clarify that Diamonique is simulated cubic zirconia while Firelight are real diamonds. She then went further to criticize cubic zirconia, saying it gets cloudy and loses it’s “crispness”. She ended by saying, “I would rather save my money and get 1 thing that I really love today rather than buy 100 pieces of something that is, what I consider, disposable”.

The shade of it all…I couldn’t believe what I was hearing :joy:. What a way to kick off a day that heavily features both diamonds and Diamonique, and insult QVC’s own brand that is regularly touted as being indistinguishable from a real diamond.

It starts here around 6:05: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kW_rN1PEZRQ

What an insufferable pronouncement to make. Poor Rosina how is she suppose respond to that comment she also sells Diamonique. Erin Moseley would make a much better diamond rep than white hair lady.

Wow! I never heard Michelle sound so pompous and arrogant before. I’ve got some Diamonique pieces that are 20+ years and they still look “crisp” and “clean”. No cloudiness. Still as sparkly as when I got them. And not disposable at all.
So tacky of her to openly slur QVC’s own brand!
Maybe I’m projecting but I thought Rosina looked kind of pissed.

Thank you! You’re a star!

Disposable? Ummmm… it’s not a camera, it’s jewelry…?

I caught this in the early morning as well. :face_with_peeking_eye: Quite the uncomfortable moment, I agree that Rosina seemed upset/frustrated. How could she not?

Costume jewelry and CZs can get quite expensive, and certainly not disposable! This isn’t Claire’s, Michelle.

Smart of QVC to offer jewelry for all budgets.

Here we have a contrast in hair. Frau Jill who’s had the same haircut for years and years. Jill still has a youthful face yet insists on helmet hair and MaryBeth looks like a sexy mama about to sign up for pole dancing lessons.

IIRC hosts are always saying you can mix cz with all kinds of diamonds

I like MBRs hair,
Jills not so much, but I think she has the kind of hair that only does one thing, she has a lovely complexion

Article about diamond clarity…
I2 is second from the bottom…
The Q could use a sales analogy like this:
It is far better to be shot in the chest 2 times than 3 times…

My opinion so far of the 50 and Fabulous ( or whatever it’s called) on FB is that it’s an opportunity for pretty women to post their photos and other women to comment on how great they look.:joy:

I mean, I can look good in some photos, but I feel average compared to most of the photos posted. They are not empowering me! :joy:

Maybe I need the NuFace gadget. ( joking)

I know you are kidding but: Naw don’t buy the Nuface gadget. You know it’s all lies. The models are the regular QVC models and if it worked you would not see the “amazing results” during the demonstration as they would already be Perfect! I love the before and after photos of all the products. Either there is absolutely no difference or you can tell the person has opened their eyes wider or jutted their chin out further. It’s all smoke and mirrors

Several years ago I was a sucker who hoped the NuFace gadget would work for me. I used it regularly for a good six months or so.
I got SameOleFace😐

I can laugh about it now😄

Okay Jane, whatever.

Where did that super bright light on your face come from?

Julia, as usual, looking sloppy with her half-tuck. The pants are a little tight too.

White bottom, white flats, and white top (with half tuck, no less) are not her friend.

Why do I suddenly crave a powdered jelly donut?

Looks nothing like Jane. She is covered with brown spots and her teeth look nothing like that. Hair too is different.

Yes, I agree that photo of Jane does not in any way resemble her. I’m going to be super mean now but have you all noticed the huge amount of wrinkles around her eyes and eyelids. It happens but let’s face it no gadget or serum or cream has made any noticeable difference for her. It’s fine to grow old like I certainly am but to lie about all these “miracle” products is reprehensible.
