I know they operate in a completely different way but you look at TJ Maxx and how they continue to operate so successfully with a great assortment that never gets stale or old. Appeals to a wide demographic of shoppers and gives the consumer true value on their items. They are everything QVC wish they could be.

Well yes, but TJM is an overstock/discontinued/distressed inventory merchandise specialist. QRate would have to completely revamp the business plan. Their acquisition and speedy jettison of Zulily shows us that wasn’t their forte’ either. They need to DOGE the place then start over.

They truly do 100% This continued chase of pivoting to social media and making that their new big expansion and revenues stream seems like its DOA already. No one is scrolling through socials for QVC merchandise…

Yeah those two companies have climbed into bed together big time. The TSV is just OK, I don’t find it to be anything particularly special and I can tell you that is not a special price at all for a slip in Skechers. You can buy them all over Amazon for $10 to $15 under that depending on the model. and the Summit is their entry level.

I understand that the items I find at TJ Maxx, Ross and Marshall’s are overstock but what’s mind blowing is that I find the exact style of the current Sketchers and Patricia Nash items there at such a discount compared to QVC. Seriously the crappy cardboard like leather bags from P. Nash can be as low as $39.00 and $59.00. So what gives? And why does anyone still buy from QVC? You can buy from TJ Maxx and Marshall’s online.

Yes, he’s well-credentialed.
But as my uncle always said, and I am now beginning to understand: You may be “qualified” but are you “capable?”.
Excuse me if I’m wrong, but I thought QVC was a SALES company.
There is nothing in his background concerning Sales.
As my Marketing professor wisely said in one of my MBA classes: Nothing happens without a sale.
In contrast, take a look at the bio of the man who founded QVC and many other ventures:
Google his name if you’d like a picture.
If they’re doing so poorly and he’s been there since 2021, why did they renew his contract? How much time do you need (or have…) to turn things around?
Seems to me he’s another “metrics” guy - comes from Neilsen, now NeilsenIQ.
Google too how MBA’s are ruining companies. I posted earlier about this. The Founders know and do. The successors do not.

I did a quick check this morning and Leah looked amazing!! She had on jeans with a pink shirt tucked in and a jacket over it and looked fabulous. Her hair was smaller and that made a huge difference. And she wasn’t wearing a tiny cross-body bag that always makes her look larger, until later. I wish she would dress like that all the time instead of too many layers and too big hair. Good job today, though!
