QVC Live Discussion (Part 1)

Oh. My. Word. Bless her heart. 🫨

It fits the model but as David would say, oh my word

Colleen is definitely not moving. She’s more of a vendor now and will just travel whenever her line is scheduled to air.

if you think about it
HSN could broadcast from anywhere as could the reps who skype in
if I worked for HSN i would worry that my job if i moved would be viable for a year or so once they figure out they don’t need it at all

Personally I don’t give HSN as a separate operation much of a future.

Qurate changing its name to The QVC Group.

Dumping the Florida location.

Consolidating merchandising and programming for QVC and HSN under one manager.

I imagine they then won’t need double the number of buyers.

I think the key signal will be how many HSN hosts will be asked to relocate. I’ll bet it’s not as many as some think.

(Just my own analysis of the situation.)

@Johnnystar56 yep

I think all the Q and H brands could be sold on one channel leading to more variety for the shoppers

i also heard something on HSN this weekend during a Lancome show host or rep said this is the last time this will be a TS so I thought perhaps Lancome is done with selling there ?

ETA
perhaps the consolidation is a reason why the Q hosts are acting so over the top that there will be cutbacks ??

Oh! That’s good insight!

They could be planning on just one group of consolidated hosts, picking and choosing from both.

Yikes!

   “QGroup” could also face a mass exodus of vendors who are not pleased with lackluster sales and vapid showhosts. Bringing HSN to Philly is what the Q probably views as their last, best hope. The best thing the Q could do is to stop, look, and listen . . . . .

What vendor is not going to want access to a distribution outlet that has, at the low end, 8 million active customers (QXH real purchasers and buyers.)

I think that’s a really attractive venue, particularly if you’re a product with little or no physical store presence. I think it’s particularly true for the small food entrepreneurs.

Just my musings.

I will be soooooo glad when the food and plant shows end! The fact that they’re pushing food well after The Big Game ship dates are long past, doesn’t give me much hope. I mean Flag Day is in June, so better stock up on raspberry-filled cod nuggets.

I believe Mr. Colleen Lopez is a master plumber and one son has a jewelry store. Colleen has done her duty for many years and like already said, can do Skype or whatever. I wonder what Bobbie Rae Carter is going to do.

i was coming in to post a photo of Lori in that outfit. Marybeth is ok, imo. But that sweater and dress on Ms everything goes with anything made me laugh out loud. She must have a show with Amy later today…

   2025 will mark Bobbi Ray Carter’s 42nd year anniversary with HSN. I’m guessing that retirement is most definitely a preferred option.
