QVC Live Discussion (Part 1)

I don’t even think he phones it in anymore. I think he shows up for personal appearances under contract, and I think that’s the only involvement he has in the production of any of these pieces. I refuse to believe that anyone who was a couture designer would ever be involved in some of these shmatas they put out.

I’ll take one of each, though would not purchase because I have no room to store or need for that many. LOL David was only doing a TSV feature with Jimmy for 30 minutes last night and 6 thousand flew out the door. 48k for the day. Jimmy must be doing something right. Strawberry please!

:coffee: :doughnut: :doughnut: @MidwestCrabby … I’ve never actually tasted anything from Jimmy the Baker as I rarely ever order food products online … the reviews are mixed, and the prices are outrageous. I just happen to tune in time to catch Alberti stuffing his face like a chipmunk going into hibernation for six months! I’m fortunate enough to have a family owned bakery that his been around longer than I have, and I can by buy the piece instead of a dozen, and it’s only five minutes away!

I make a ton of soup so when it was first introduced, Lono broth (I think that’s the name) appealed and I wound up with enough not overly salty broth packets for almost 9 months. (I made some broth too during that time). Anyway, it was good, nice variety, not expensive as a first offer and lots of packets easy to store. Now I have not seen the broth on as good a sale plus I can buy broth at the store. But pastries, if quantities were smaller, I’d buy it. Local, national, I don’t care. Just give me the sweets

Every time I see them showing Jimmy the Baker products, I always think, does that come with or without mold (in referenced in a previous airing where the camera showed a square of coffee cake with mold on it).

Q had on a 3-pack of Germack Trail Mix “Peanut Butter Lovers Mix” yesterday, which was basically mini peanut butter cups and mini chocolates tossed into trail mix. $45!!! My local grocery chain churns this exact mix out and it’s $5 for a medium size bag. David undoubtedly sold a lot but still…trail mix for $45? Not including taxes, fees, and shipping.

Why don’t they just sell the channel to Susan and rename it The Graver Style Channel. Because 100s of vendors but she and maybe three others are the only ones featured. SO BORING and how much liquid knit can you actually buy every day???

QVC owns the Graver line, she is just a glorified designer not a vendor.

@JustPlainNutz thanks for posting that particular picture of Kerstin. The expression on her face captures my disdain of her perfectly. I certainly won’t miss her.

Marybeth and her lone two brain cells (that don’t even get along) repeatedly saying, “I speeded it up”. I just had to suffer through two hours of Pat James Demented saying “go head”.

I meant to post the other day when I heard Isaac say a word (of course, slips my mind now) the majority of the English-speaking population know the meaning of and Lame-y asked, “what does that mean?” He almost fell over in disbelief. A larger collection of dense nitwits, I have not seen.

I will never understand the food sales. None of it.

The TSV protein powder’s second listed ingredient is erythritol. If you’re thinking about buying this, please do some research on erythritol to decide if it’s ok for you.

It’s a TOTAL rip off also. I don’t understand the food sales at QVC either. Like $49.00 + Tax + Shipping for twice baked potatoes ! WTF ?

:zipper_mouth_face: :zipper_mouth_face: :zipper_mouth_face: That very video was posted on YouTube, it may still be!

 :smirk:  Wow, man … like check out this cookie … I think those chocolate chips are alive … they are like swimming all around and like waving and winking and smiling at me … and like I really want to eat it, but what if it starts like screamin’ when I bite into it? Or maybe it will like bite my face off? Should I like have a brownie instead? Far Out!

:zipper_mouth_face: :zipper_mouth_face: :zipper_mouth_face: Someone should probably remove that cocktail shaker from KerBossy’s grubby mitts before Venus grabs it and starts beating her with it. Ever the know-it-all host, taking over the presentation, talking about how she eats healthy, inspires her family to eat healthy, sharing protein packed secrets, and plugging her side job as a health coach/nutritionist. I guess it didn’t occur to her that Venus just might like to take the lead since it’s HER product.

I had not known anything about erythritol until I read posts here. I recently saw as an ingredient for a “light” version of a beverage and returned it to the shelf. Just looked up, and while it may not necessarily be bad for me, feel better to avoid. We really don’t know about long term effects of some sugar substitutes. I appreciate the useful info along with good snark!
