For $1100, that recliner better be made of gold and last me the next ten lifetimes for me to even consider buying it.
I think the word is âperkyâ. Another word is âfakeâ. A further word is ânepo-babyâ⌠she definitely knows someone. Or has gotten to know someone!
All that wide-eyed toothy grin doesnât fool me. On the occasions Iâve seen her presenting sheâs come off as a piece of work.
I tuned in to this for a minute and Nancy mentioned she had been really sick and frankly she still looked and sounded quite ill. I seriously wonder why they made her work.
âŚâŚ.and it (the recliner) is ugly. Correct me if Iâm wrong, but I think Lazy-Boy has much more attractive and appealing recliners than thisâŚâŚif they donât, for that price they need to find new designers.
Nancy looks like she consumed some Temptations concoction prepared by host-in-waiting Tara.
It coulda happened!
A few stylish la-z-boy recliners(well; as stylish as these chairs can be):
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

I read somewhere (Reddit QVC thread? QVC forum threads? ) that La-Z-Boy makes a separate line of recliners especially for QVC. They are lower quality than the regular line.
It wouldnât be surprising. I think a lot of these âincredibleâ deals they have are for lesser goods.
I didnât realize that. Thanks for sharing. Must admit Iâve been tempted by a swivel chair that sometimes goes on sale at QVC because it has that stain-proof fabric. It would be my luck that something would happen to it if I ordered.
I noticed this on new host Melissaâs Instagram, and Iâm curious about the âsomething exciting.â Knowing QVC, I think itâs probably something lame. On a side note, I didnât realize Amy is her mentor. I sort of see the resemblance in presentation style now that I think about it.
Qurateâs making tons of programming for streaming on QVC+/HSN+.
Itâs where new stars are madeâŚand old ones will go to burn out
Good point. It seems theyâre putting a lot of effort into the livestream chats on their website too. Iâm curious if they phase out the forums to focus on chats (on the website, Facebook, etc.).
Re: Special products for QVC. Anytime they have anything in exclusive colors, I figure the whole order is a cut-corners version of the closest comparable retail version. I have still bitten and havenât yet been badly burned, but given their insane return shipping costs I think itâs always a good idea to think twice before buying any big ticket items from QVC or HSN. Your definition of âbig ticketâ may vary. My personal threshold is fairly low, and if something strikes my fancy I usually try to buy from a retailer with better return policies just in case.
Almost all the big national brands manufacture things exclusively for QVC/HSN: Dyson, Kitchenaid, Cuisinart, Shark.
Thereâs a Shark TSV coming up and Iâm looking for a new one. So if the packup is good in exclusive colors, I might be inclined to buy!
Right. My most recent bite was actually the Shark stick vac TSV from a couple months ago. Not much of a packup, but the price was great, and I reallllly needed a new vacuum. I initially thought Iâd been snookered, as the realistic battery life was about 15â20 mins (they said an hour but of course didnât specify that was on eco mode
). HOWEVER, after using it daily for weeks now, Iâm very happy with it. The battery life is more than enough unless I donât vacuum for a whileâŚwhich never happens anymore because itâs so satisfying to take care of it in the morning and know the house is momentarily free of cat hair. I will say that dirt detector feature is no joke and was worth the price of admission.
AnywayâŚlol.
Oh it absolutely is. I think they do as well. Recliners that actually would fit in a modern living room. Yeah and find new designers ASAP. That recliner already looks weathered and worn down lol
Now we have a quarter-tuck. I dislike half-tucks, quarter-tucks, any-kind-of tucks, but I particularly detest tucks on billowy, voluminous tops like this PLW one.
Miss PLW Affirmations should do a new line with:
Just Tuck It! or I Donât Give a Tuck!
Freshened âdo for The Girl Next Door from McTool. Three thoughts: 1) It just looks like a shorter haystack. 2) She wants her husband to take her our to dinner because her hair âlooks so fab!â? 3) After seeing McToolâs hair, who would want her to do their hair?
I once got a TSV HP laptop and it was a lemon. It had never occurred to me until then that maybe HP was making a lesser quality product for Q. I had to deal with HP and send it back to them twice. Each time the so called fix made it worse.![]()
![]()
They really tried to test me before they admitted defeat and finally sent me a totally different newer, nicer laptop. HP made a big deal about how it was worth so much more than what I paid but because it had caused me two months of inconvenience they would magnanimously eat the cost. Whatever.
Anyway, I agree itâs a personal decision on taking that chance. I wonât rule out vacuum cleaners but no more TSV laptops for me.
