QVC Live Discussion (Part 1)

I heard her talking last night about “liquid lace.” I was like, My, goodness! This woman is going to ride liquid shit until the wheels fall off!

Just saw on IG that Jennie Garth is brining a fashion line to the Q called, “Me.” Looks inspired by California coast. How many more iterations of the same thing do we need???

That is funny, and probably true! All the “designer” clothing people present looks the same to me. (The “laugh” emoji looks very scary to me)

What’s next?

  • Liquid Denim?
  • Liquid Tweed?
  • Liquid Boucle?
  • Liquid Suede?

Whichever Q buyer is naming this stuff (because it probably isn’t Susan) must have liquid brains.

I don’t pay attention much to pricing when I watch Belle shows, but now I’m noticing that her prices are absolutely ridic!!!

While this is the only reasoning that makes sense I am still baffled bc when the 90210 ladies presented their home collection they were awful. I mean, we can argue the prestige of their careers or their talent, but the fact is they’ve been working since their teens and they looked like two people QVC pulled from Shop Rite for LOLs. Walking in front of the camera, unable to speak engagingly about the products - it was a mess.

I’m very skeptical about the Evelyn & Bobbie lady saying that you can stretch out the cami if you need more room due to whatever (i.e. asymmetrical breasts). During demos, she stretches one side to create more room and insists you can’t break the cami. It looks like the same seamless heat-sealed undergarments I see sold at Burlington, Marshall’s, TJMaxx, etc. I had a few pairs of underwear and bralettes with the same fabrication and they become stretched out over time and do not shrink back after washing, so I stopped buying those seamless heat-sealed undergarments. Considering how much this cami costs, it would be a shame if it does the same thing.

The Evelyn & Bobbie founder said she found the man of her dreams online on an obscure site called Farmers Only within 4 days of joining.

Take that, JenCON!

These leather tote bags still look too expensive at the clearance price of $139. How QVC came up with the original price of $328 I will never know…

Steve is on, looks like by himself for for 4 hours tonight. He always comes off as cheerful and engaged in each presentation.

Steve could take over for Julia or Ali on Main Channel shows and I would not be upset (I’d say Shawn shows but that’s too much to hope for)

Who buys jewelry costing thousands of dollars from a shopping channel instead of a reputable retailer?
So 31 days down the road when a stone falls out, you are out of luck.

I remember when Dallas Prince was on SHOPNBC all those years ago. Her jewelry is very much statement pieces for dressed up occasions. I guess somebody is buying her stuff because she’s still around!

I don’t get it. When I began watching the Q in the late '90s, the selling pitch for tanzanite was, the mines will be closing, there will be no more, buy NOW or you may never have the chance again!. Fast forward 27 years later and now, lo and behold, a NEW source for tanzanite has been discovered, with even better color. It’s a miracle, right?
