HSN Live Discussion

If anyone is a fan of Chef Shahir, who does the Kitchen HQ demos, he has a cooking show on the streaming channel GustoTV, which I get on Roku. It’s called “Cook the Books” where he cooks his way through award-winning cookbooks. Really good show.

Sharon Faetsch has left the apples over on the ‘Q to present Winter Lane holiday merch on HSN.

Do you mean the Prindables? Lori Shore is the rep, not Sharon F. The last time Sharon was on QVC she was repping some accessories line, if I remember correctly.

Gotta get the old peepers checked. You’re right. Laurie, Mrs. Prindables. Sharon on HSN, Winter Lane. Now, don’t ask me why, but, I think they look alike. :person_shrugging:

“ScentWorx by Slatkin + Co.” @ 1:00 PM, oh Lord, what can this be? I guess now that Christmas is winding down…Harry and Jen are searching for new victims, errr, customers. :grimacing:

So Harry is there, the HSN host, and then another girl she used to be the OAP for some kind of shoe brand on QVC (I forget which one). I guess she is now the “Jen” for Harry’s candles on HSN

Amy Oselkin of Clarks fame.

The candles on HSN are apparently the more “discount” brand from Slatkin.

I just LOVE Joy Mangano!! I don’t care what anybody says. She’s so vibrant and full of life. I can’t believe they picked that boring dull Jennifer Lawrence to play her. (Joy oughn’t wear those really short sleeves though.)

I see that Antthony has announced that his line is officially parting ways with HSN.

Too bad; he was always fun and pleasant to watch and quite knowledgeable about fashion and clothing.

I thought Antthony had a ton of fans. He seems like a nice man and I wish him continued success.

My understanding is that he couldn’t come to contractual terms with HSN.

He posted several months ago he wouldn’t appear on air without a contract, saying he “doesn’t work for free.” I respected that.

   The Q is bowing to pressure from it’s top faux designers … He would blow Gravel, Graver, Goldstein, and Greenstein right out of the water. I have classic tops and pants in Antthony’s own version of liquid knit that are well over twenty years old, look like new, and they are frequently the first pieces that I reach for. His clothing is what Susan Graver wishes her clothes would be. Don’t blame him at all for parting ways with the Q, they would screw him up, down, and sideways. He’s far too talented for them.

Wow, thanks @Johnnystar56 for that info. Who the heck would work without a contract? Home shopping networks are really becoming scumbags.

@JustPlainNutz What, you’re not mesmerized by Graver’s stunning, stunning “twowzers” and how major design houses wish they came up with her ideas?

More “women should say” to Graver “Your clothes suck.”

I found Antthony’s message from October. I love his frankness and honesty about business!

Antthony’s Message:

My dears, I want you to know that I’m doing well here in Savannah and truly thriving. 🌸I so appreciate all of your concern, the phone calls, and the beautiful letters you’ve sent my way—it means the world to me.

As for HSN, I honestly don’t know exactly what’s going on just yet. What I do know is this: I will be back. When I have more to share, I’ll let you know right away. For now, I don’t have a contract—and I don’t work for free. That’s the truth of it. Until there’s a contract in place, I can’t step into that space.

Please know how grateful I am for your love and support. Your care lifts me more than you’ll ever know, and I carry that with me every day.

With love,

Antthony
