The Giant Food grocery stores here in the DMV closed at 6 pm today. They say they’re opening at 6 am tomorrow. I wouldn’t blame them if they opened later though. We got about 6 inches of snow but then sleet all day. Things are frozen solid and it’s going to be below freezing all week.

My friend visiting me in AZ was told that her flight home tomorrow through CHICAGO and PITTSBURGH will run as normal tomorrow. I do not believe it, but we’ll see.

Our son is Jersey City has received 24 inches of snow!
That’s a lotta snow, even for those of us who live in Minnesota!

We are used to getting hammered by several inches of snow per storm, but when the roads are ice covered and slippery, or visibility is zero or near zero, you won’t find me leaving home. Whatever I need to do, it can wait until tomorrow or the following day.

Last week we moved our five stray cats from the garage to our storage/laundry/utility room. Thanks to our wonderful neighbors donating to the cause, each cat has their own bed and blankets, food, toys, a cat condo, and litter boxes. My husband installed a small cat door so they can go in and out as they please. I know they’re sleeping better in a heated room, and I am also sleeping better knowing that they are warm and safe.

I decided that I really don’t mind Miss Rachel when she’s hosting on her own. She’s actually pretty good.

I think there’s something about being La Diva’s minion that can make hosts irritating and they can shine once out from under him.

I have ITKWD on in the background, and a woman is on selling some protein powder for $35. My question: how much real food can one buy for that much? Real food that doesn’t have additives or fake colors? This powder can be made into frosting or pudding, or other things depending on how much water you mix it with. If you are trying to eat healthy, why are you eating frosting or pudding anyway? This just seems like such a waste of money to me.

I would say “yes ma’am, please!”

He told this story twice in 10 minutes!
