i have those dishes and they are resistant to dropping. That was just one of those thingsā¦.but on live TV it looks bad

Many, many years ago Johnny Carson had an āunbreakable dishesā sponsor. He threw a plate on the floor, and it broke into a thousand pieces. In those days they couldnāt cut away to something else because it was a live presentation with no where else to go. That was my first thought when this happened today. These dishes are not meant to be thrown on the floor. They are meant to be āchip resistantā when bumped on the counter. Not sure why the OAP thought this was a good idea, but at least they had someone else they could go to immediately.

Just a personal experience, but the last time I bought Germack nuts for gifts they were rancid. I wonāt buy them anymore.

The moment of truth - Iāve had Corelle for many years and duh itās going to shatter into pieces if you toss it to the ground. This lady is lovely but a bit dim.

If I was still working, I think I would have - especially if I was still teaching. But, I sure wouldnāt buy one for my Thanksgiving or holiday gifts and fill it with dinner.
