Since her photo is still up in the host gallery, she must be on vacation or out on sick leave.

Welcome!!

Enough with the cordless vacuums! On “sale” for nearly $300. THIS is why they’re losing customers. They devote hours to a single product, rather than showing multiple options. I’m actually looking for a Shark vacuum, would be nice to see a demo of their latest plug-in models. It’s like they’re trying to lose potential business.

UglyBetty, I think you’re onto something. QVC sells several brands of vacuums. So why can’t they have a double TSV, say, a Shark model and a Dyson model. Then customers could check out both, see which one has the features and price point they like best and choose. Or as you suggested, in a TSV presentation show multiple items from the same brand. I bet they would sell more items overall. And, it’s just possible some customers might trade up from the TSV item and buy a higher priced model because it’s better suited to their needs.

Same principle could apply to other products used as TSVs. For example, have “dueling” TSVs from Rastelli, KC Steaks, and Corky’s on the same day.

Exactly! Every household has different needs. It just makes sense to do an all-Dyson/Shark show and demo different models, highlighting the benefits of each. Why not try presenting like this if they’re all the same brand? Seems really counterintuitive to show a single product for hours at a stretch.

I don’t think a dueling TSV would work. As much as they deny it, I still think that the brand pays for their time for those hour-long shows. QVC wouldn’t devote that much time unless they were guaranteed a profit. Can you imagine how they would have to time every utterance if they were also selling competitors at the same time? Does it make sense for viewers - absolutely. For business - no.

I remember working for Xerox when they were chasing the way their printers worked. Then they bought another company - I don’t remember which one. But, we had to train the Xerox reps to now sell the competitor which they had sold against for so long. Tough transition.

I see your point. But there have been many occasions when the chosen TSV item has been a dud, and then the Q is stuck with warehouses full of it that have to be sold off later for a giveaway price. So they lose money.

Competing TSV items from the same manufacturer would be good all around. The manufacturer gets max exposure for a whole product line. QVC sells more because customers can choose the model they like best. And customers win because they get the product that fits their needs, and they don’t have to be bored by repetitive hours spent hawking one item that isn’t right for them.

How is Not Amal Clooney going to survive this TSV day without her denim jacket security blanket???

Who let JONNYSBRO on the QVC Snark subreddit? He/she is on there gassing up Lisa Robertson, as per usual.

She is probably a very nice person IRL, but she is unwatchable for me. She knows nothing about design, clothing construction, or fashion and adds zero to every presentation. And after all of this time, her nervously glancing back and forth from the camera to the host and constantly rubbing her pant legs is ridiculous. She should be used to speaking on air by now.

I see her back in the program guide on February 12th, but based on her Facebook page it looks like she hasn’t been on air since January 7th! I hope everything is okay, that was quite a long break.

I see in the guide that Julia isn’t hosting ITKWJ again on Feb 14th. I have no idea why they added her name to the show, at this point she only hosts about half the time it seems.

Speaking of TSVs, today’s offering, the AnyBody sweatshirt, is pathetic. It looks like a discount store reject and even at the $32.98 TSV price it’s way overpriced. The “if purchased separately” price of $59.50 is laughable.

LOL, he came back as GeorgeCasey9. The mod on that sub is awesome though, I’m sure he’ll be gone soon.

Hey, let’s go to a snark page and talk positively about people! Makes so much sense /s
He can go to the QVC forums and talk about how wonderful everyone is. People are stupid sometimes.

I mean, I don’t have a problem with happy talk but this guy is OBSESSED with Lisa - like restraining order obsessed.

there are a few product reps who know nothing about fashion, style or construction and basic terms.

Jackie for D&C comes to mind

and the boot rep this morning didn’t know the shaft length, which is important….Q could run a crawl with important points like that,

there must be women or men out there with knowledge of fashion who could rep a brand
and look nice in the clothing

:detective: :detective: :detective: I do recall that there were at least 4 or 5 men in the Philly area that were actively stalking Lisa, and restraining orders were issued. Is Johnnysbro one of her “regulars?” Have the restraining orders expired? One of those stalkers actually did jail time, he followed Lisa from Philly to her home town down south when she was vacationing & visiting her family & friends. He actually admitted that he followed her into a movie theater and “was so close to her that he could smell her popcorn.”

:speak_no_evil_monkey: Good reason to reign in the information sharing on social media.

Oh God poor Jaimie. She looks Horrible in that PLW outfit. And I mean no disrespect to her; I like her very much. She seems happy all the time. This is criminal.

All of these PLW clothes are so sloppy and dumpy. Jamie should not be doing a half tuck, especially not with a thick sweater. :frowning:
