There is no way thatâs even possible. Why does she even bother to lie about it?
âŚ..because sheâs a stupid, ignorant, lying a**hole.
I just saw an ad for IT cosmetics featuring Jenny Garth. It was for concealerâŚor foundation. She applies a little and ends by saying that you can buy it at Ulta.
I cannot imagine that Jen will also do a tv ad since her name and face recognition is so low. But who knows?
Wow that was fast if they only started working on this less than 2 weeks agoâŚ
Well, Kerliar made one for Jacuzzi. Of course, no one has seen her ad since maybe the first week, so maybe they pulled it.
Since JCon is so hip and relatable, maybe sheâll be their social media presence! ![]()
More likely, itâs just something to add for her to hawk & monetize on her own social media.
And itâs typical, now that people are leaving TikTok in droves, QVC will lose what little attention they had there. That was a dumb decision in a series of dumb decisions. Are they trying to attract younger shoppers - I thought thatâs why they did TikTok. But theyâre selling ugly clothes that younger people are not interested in. And food where you can get the same exact thing or at least close for way less at CostCo, etc. And vacuum cleaners. And shit laptops.
Most of all, Over 50 and Fabulous plus Menopause Monday flies in the face of that strategy. So are they going for younger shoppers or arenât they?! Just idiotic. QVC are failing because of their own incompetence.
You beat me to it. I saw the same ad. It was very quick. I wasnât paying close attention to the TV, and by the time it registered with me that it was Jennie and It cosmetics, the ad was done. Iâve only seen the Jacuzzi ad with Keridiot online. I remember that her hair and wardrobe looked very 70s mom-ish. Not surprised that itâs not getting play elsewhere.
I think that QVC has too many clothing lines that sell pretty much the same thing and they donât need to. Without too many details, I will say that most of their clothes never appealed to âyoungâ buyers. They had a few niche lines like Linnea and nicer clothing like that. But for the most part, it was always targeted at middle aged and older women who arenât wearing ball gowns, silk sweaters, and wool suits. What they had was convenience (and it really did get to your house in about 5 days), a wide range of sizes, and pretty low/reasonable prices. Yesterdayâs D&Co TSV blew out of there! It was a good price for something that people obviously wanted. A value. And for the most part, people could count on whatever they received were not âseconds,â but quality products. That isnât always the case now. In some ways the pandemic hurt them because it hurt their supply chain and they not only had fewer things to sell, they had less variety. It all seemed to affect the delivery times. The âintangible â part is that they let the quality of the product that the show hosts contributed turn into a s*** show. If the hosts arenât outright offensive, they arenât informed. You donât watch QVC to have to do all of the info-gathering about a product. The hosts should do that for you. And a big loss is that they donât try to build that special relationship that their core shoppers wanted. Itâs pretty much gone. Added to that, for some of the hosts, their antics on social media pulled aside the veil and showed that these really arenât people you would want to be part of your family and invite into your home for hours every week.
Sorry for the lengthy reply.
Clue me in. Why is everyone leaving TikTok?
Political reasons. Please Google instead of discussing here.
Funny you should mention former clothes lines. I was looking for a sweater this morning and pulled one out I hadnât seen/worn for a while - remember Modern Soul??? The sweater was still in great condition and I am glad I found it. Back in the day (yes, I am old), I used to buy from that line for work clothes.
The Esteemed Medical Researcher Lindquist should run off to New York City and hook up with the Naked Cowboy.
I just wore a Modern Soul lt blue checked sweater yesterday!
Iâm still wearing some Sport Savvy tee shirts. They were very good quality.
Great analysis. I would add that another way the pandemic hurt them is that they shifted focus in a big way to âathleisureâ dressing. They ended up with a lot of different lines that all basically looked like glorified sweats. Cuddle Duds, Anybody, Muk Luks, all the way up to PLW and the obscenely overpriced Barefoot Dreams. And they phased out Louis di Olio, George Simonton, Bob Mackie, etc. And then eventually even Isaac Mizrahi. Those lines were from real designers (at least to start) and you could find pieces that you could wear to work or at least were dressier than sweats. When the hosts started dressing mostly in sweats, thatâs when the wine drinking started. I do like some of Kim Gâs offerings, but they are too expensive for what they are and now sheâs basically eaten the network.
Is this the only pair of shoes that the BareFootDreams chic owns?
And I have absolutely no freaking idea what size horseshoes this oversized pony wears, but certainly that rump and those flanks are NOT a size XXS âŚ
She was swooning over that Barefoot Dreams lounge outfit she is wearing. But it looks like what I wear when cleaning house.
So many novelty tops and sweaters that are similar to the QVC âdesignersâ are on the racks by the hundreds at Marshallâs and TJ Maxx. And the prices are $19 to $29. Maybe those stores are not nationwide, I donât know but itâs ludicrous that the Q sells these items for around $70 plus each. I donât like the ones on TV or in the stores I mentioned. They seem cheaply made and Iâm not looking for polyester blend anything. The brushed poly or poly fleece leisure wear makes me cringe. Give me cotton or wool or nevermind.
