i took a look at the show, he looks bored not healthy and totally checked out,
half hearted attempt to sell popcorn as a healthy snack, add “whole grain”.

I could be wrong but I thought she said she was taking a long vacation to somewhere in Europe. I wonder if she’ll complain about wherever she’s vacationing not being like California? Kind of a theme with her…
She did say she was traveling to Europe, but I’m pretty sure she said it was for work and for two weeks. Can’t imagine what she’d be doing for two weeks for QVC.
ETA. Just checked her FB and no mention of her trip.
Maybe they sent the red head to Ireland to get footage ahead of St Patrick’s Day? That would be a boot in the pants for Jane if they did that.
Or some cooking related product, like David’s Le Creuset trip or Alberti’s chocolate trip.
Maybe that’s why David seems so glum today. ![]()
If these trips to Ireland are based upon legitimate Irish heritage, I bet that Julia Cearley is more deserving than Janie O’Rudolph.
Mary was on with Harry Slatkin, who was on video from Florida. So where’s JConn?? I know Harry loves to be on camera, but late afternoon on a weekend seems like the time for the second string, not the “star.”
last night they had Mary D, talking to viewers after her shift during the horror that is RachelKim
they are positioning her to be the comic, I think she isn’t that funny, it’s all very forced
Does anyone know who started the Barefoot Dreams mystique? It’s surprising that people are willing to shell out so much money for these garments. I bought one cardigan as a gift when they first came to QVC and someone gifted one to me a few years later. I just don’t think it’s worth the cost.
I think it’s Q who took the Oprah thing and the Malibu thing and marketed to the viewers as aspirational
I thought I heard that Mary D does do comedy someplace.
They need to work a lot harder on the Value part. None of their clothing lines are reasonably priced. Even when they are on “sale” or “clearance” price.
How exactly does the “Big Announcement” translate?
Better Late Than Never VS Too Little, Too Late?
I actually thought that Pat might be announcing her upcoming retirement scheduled for December, 2028.
Just flipped on the TV. Ree Drummond with a clothing line. $ 75 for a sweater. That’s not Value IMO. And does QVC really need another clothing line, let alone another “celebrity” clothing line ? (I use the term celebrity very loosely in this case.) ![]()
Twice this weekend I caught about 5 minutes of her selling something - sweater? Jeans? I can’t remember. What I do recall is that both times she was at her ranch and had to mention that her husband was outside “feeding the cattle.” I guess that is intended to create a down home and salt-of-the-earth feeling for viewers. From the peek I got of her house, it looks a lot like the Joanna/Chip Gaines set up. They are definitely no longer living a farm lifestyle and neither is she.
i don’t think they ever did, her husband is on of the biggest land owners in the state, but Q does love that ‘down home stuff”
t
Exactly. I have family members who farm in Iowa and in Wisconsin, One is a large scale dairy operation (2,500+ cattle) and the other is crops on about 4,000 acres (split between two sites). They actually do hands on work, but they aren’t outside feeding cattle. They have work crews for that kind of stuff. My point is that she may live on a ranch, but she isn’t outside doing any farm work or processing her own food. Who knows, maybe she did in the past. But now she is bougie. I don’t see her as aspirational in terms of her style. I agree with you that the Q didn’t need another overpriced “celebrity” fashion line.
That’s pretty funny since her line of clothes and cooking and home stuff is sold at Walmart.
On her cooking show, they’ve always used ranch work as a production tool. “While my husband and sons are out tending to the ranch, I’ll be cooking up a pot of chili.” Cut to the husband and kids driving aimlessly in a truck, loading random things in a trailer, or in the vicinity of cattle.
The house you see on the show is a set they built on the ranch.
As far as “celebrities” go, she’s pretty harmless. I don’t care how they live, as her husband’s family was wealthy long before her career took off.
I’m surprised she’s working with QVC instead of Walmart. Her Walmart products are very successful.
