QVC Live Discussion (Part 2)

She will be 69 years old in November. IMO, you can actually be too thin, and especially as you get older. She looks drawn and tired. And even though she’s in the fashion business, toning down her makeup wouldn’t hurt either.

   She’s not actually thin, if you look closely, it’s the illusion created by the carefully draped fabric, placed at an angle on either side of her hips , giving false impression of a tiny waist … "the sneaky, calculated tuck/untuck.

:joy: On QVC, nothing is really as it seems … !

A well kept secret - Amy Stran, the queen of the half tuck, actually weighs 200 lbs.:wink:

I tried a sample of L’Interdit. It is very heavy, warm and strong. Not for the faint at heart. It may even remind you of bad body odor!! I was surprised.

I probably bought them at Whole Foods, but I’ve had similar granola bars and they were disgusting, like an undersweetened cookie. Both the world’s worst cookie and the world’s worst granola bar.

If you read the Q Forums, there is a poster who has taken to calling Justin “The Garden Gnome.”

Don’t know if it’s someone posting here, but perhaps they should join, given their snarky sensibility.

Garden Gnome is a good description of him! He Is just missing the little pointed hat.

16 PB&J sandwiches for $50. :face_with_crossed_out_eyes:

And here I thought Smuckers Uncrustables were overpriced! (but sooo good!)

Why are people still buying this crap when every grocery store offers delivery? Even with fees and tips, it’s a bargain compared to QVC. And you can have things delivered same day, sometimes within an hour. Instant gratification. But I guess then you lose the opportunity to buy a $60 cheesecake on Easy Pay… (an Italian market I love sells the same size cheesecake for $20)

Wow - I just got that Crimpit gadget and can make sandwiches that look just like that. That is pretty crazy, but if people want to spend their money that way, it’s up to them. I can’t imagine why anyone would need help making a PB & J sandwich, though. Maybe it’s easier to keep them all ready in the fridge for kids’ lunches.

Probably for convenience! Sams Club sells 24 Uncrustables for $16. Would I rather pay $0.67 each, or $3.13 each? Hmmm…

$90 for 3 lbs of meatballs, that is $30 a pound. I get great Italian meatballs at Trader Joe’s for about $4 for a 1 lb. bag and they are great..

First, maybe it’s just me, but a PB&J from the fridge ? I don’t think that would have much flavor. I would prefer it freshly made and, like you’ve all said, how hard is it to make a PB&J ? And it says they have a one year shelf life. How many preservatives must be in there for it to last a year ? I didn’t see the presentation. I just looked at the product info online.

Oh, I’m sure those Uncrustables are loaded with preservatives and sugar. That’s why they’re so good! (and why I resist the urge to buy them!)

The QVC version looked “healthy” which defeats the purpose. Let’s be honest, a premade PB&J is more of a dessert than a meal.
