$100 for a ham! 
Seems the decision-makers, the hosts, and the customers are all well-insulated from reality.
I would rather donate $100 to a local food bank. They buy at cost or below, so cash donations go farther than old canned goods. For the price of that ham, you could put food on multiple family’s holiday tables.
