I just bought a necklace from somewhere else, enticed by ads on Instagram. I wore it yesterday and it’s also fixed and doesn’t have weight to keep it centered. Mine’s going back. Yours is a lot prettier than mine.
I bought this/these from Etsy; vendor name AYS Jewels
These chains are beautiful/sparkly and the vendor is outstanding…

Silver Bead Chain Necklace, Moon Cut 925 Sterling Silver Chain For Women/Men, 4X2MM, 2mm Bead Station Chain, Lobster Clasp (CPOV-002-RH)
@artisto those are very pretty chains!
I was watching Terri Kohn selling this leather stretch belt. The stretch is in the back elastic material. Terri makes everything look nice. I’ve never really been into belts but as I get older and thicker in the middle they help to camouflage and define the waistline. You can wear this with a dress or wrinkled shorts like mine and pull your outfit together. I’m so glad I was able to catch it on clearance.
I did not expect to purchase anything from the brand but I ended up getting the BFF Mercury Glass Trees during CIJ for $79.98. I’ve been looking for a somewhat impactful way to decorate my apartment for the holidays and my sequin trees from the Lisa Robertson days were becoming bare. I had also attempted to buy a few trees in various sizes from Home Goods last year - they started at $21.99 and most of them had some damage.
The BFF collection appeared on air more solid at a much better price than VPH and other brands and that’s just as they are in person. They have a bit of weight to them, the light appears through the entire tree and the different patterns/sizes adds dimension. I got them in silver.
@Suzee2 I really like the necklace - I have a bunch of JAI on my wish list.
A few months ago, while on the hunt for a vase my cats couldn’t easily topple, I settled on getting a nice pitcher. Spent a day prowling the local stores and found nothing. Then saw a BFF diamond-cut glass pitcher on sale for less than NINE DOLLARS. Even with the stupid s&h it was a bargain. And it is hefty and beautiful. I would definitely buy the brand again.
I was watching the BFF collection and this crystal bow topper caught my attention. I didn’t get it but bows in home decor are all the rage right now. Their stuff is pretty cute.
Thanks all for the comments about the necklace. Today I wore it with a black T-shirt and white pants, and as the Q hosts would say, it looked so high end!
So I may have to keep it!
I lived about 30 miles from Pea Soup Andersen’s in Merced CA for most of my life :). Great place. Heard it’s the only one left. True?
I saw that bow tree topper also. Almost ordered it but I’ve been telling myself I don’t need anymore Christmas decor. Which is true. But I still like it and it MAY end up at my house before Christmas :).
@AuntCarolR the only Andersens left is in Santa Nella. The restaurant in Buelton closed down. We drive to Berkeley from LA a few times a year and make a pit stop at Andersens in Santa Nella. My brother lives in Fresno I’ve driven by Merced many times!!
@AuntCarolR I’ve never seen a tree topper like that. If the stars align and there’s free shipping and a clearance price I might get one too. It’s really cute !
I’m glad you’re keeping it.
I’m waiting for a JAI bracelet that had broke a few years back. l sent it to John Hardy in NYC and they sent it off to Bali to get it fixed for $50. Not thrilled about paying for the repair
but I do love the bracelet and it was sitting broken in my jewelry box for a few years. It has the swivel closure, I told them just to solder the damn thing because the swivel is a weak point in the bracelet design. Especially the skinny bracelets.
That’s exactly what I did to a wider JAI link necklace. After I read all the negative reviews on QVC where folks complained that the swivel broke, I had it soldered permanently stiff. It cost $50 at a local jewelry store But I had bought the fabulous heavy JAI necklace at TJ Maxx for $50 so I considered it a bargain at a total cost of $100. I have worn it everyday as a double wrapped bracelet for over 2 years with no problems.
I know how you feel, when you love a piece of jewelry you want to wear it as much as you can. I had a Lagos bracelet given to me as a birthday present several years ago. I wore it all the time, and the lobster-claw clasp would fail where the clasp locked on to the bracelet and the bracelet would fall off. Like you, I had to pay $50 for the jeweler to send it to Lagos for repair the first time. Less than a year later, same thing happened. They fixed it for free that time. Again, about a year later it failed again, and they gave me a new bracelet! I hope your bracelet gets a permanent fix!
Wow what a smart thing to do- fix it before it gets lost off your neck! TJ Maxx for the win. I hope my bracelet gets a permanent solution. I will never buy JAi bracelets again.
@AWD @Suzee2 I got my JAI bracelet back from John Hardy repairs. I’m still skeptical that it won’t break again., as I’ve already had it fixed once with a local jeweler. It’s pretty though!
This isn’t exactly a review, as I would NEVER buy this crap, but I’m going to nominate these things for ‘stupidest/tackiest product’ on the Q. This was on a garden decor show yesterday afternoon. The item is by Bernini; it’s a ridiculous smoking plastic flowers ‘faux’ floral basket that has some kind of battery-operated thing that sends out huge smoky puffs of fragrance.
@ParadeofRoses
It’s a beautiful bracelet! Hopefully it won’t break again.
Yay! Beautiful bracelet, fingers crossed the problem has been permanently repaired.
Omg, that is tacky. If I saw that at someone’s house and saw that puff of smoke, I would think the plant was about to catch on fire. What is most ridiculous though is that they were originally priced at $ 85 !
