Awwww that’s a really pretty bracelet! And I like the little white Christmas tree in the background too. ![]()
I thought that sudden announcemnt was interesting…usually brands just fade away from Q
lots of chatter on Q Bitchfest about this
maybe she just had enought and wanted to be done
I do like the body butter but there’s posh and ebay
interesting that Jen and Josie are both leaving at the same time
I would have thought, after the potholder recall, the exact opposite would happen. So maybe the warehouse closing mentioned here is happening.
I love, love love the pineapple enzyme face cleanser. It takes off make up, does not sting in my eyes and I am not allergic to it. So I hope she doesn’t go out of business. For now, it’s ok. I would imagine the brands have to pay extra (more than the normal % they give the Q for sales profits, to have their items on live TV?
The executives at QVC are so clueless, they don’t realize this is what stops most people from making a purchase. It’s not the number of Easy Pays, it’s not the discount, it’s the exorbitant shipping fees charged on a per item basis.
They would do well to offer free shipping at a certain threshold, say purchase $100 of product and your order ships free.
Regardless of how much I want something, I’ll never pay $5.50 to ship something on clearance for $12. Insane.
When I first started shopping with QVC, if you ordered more than one of the same item, you only paid shipping on the first item, the additional items shipped for free. Also, if you returned an item, there was no fee for return shipping.
In this day in age, their high shipping, and having to pay for returns, does not compare with other sellers. Amazon has free shipping and free returns. Walmart has free shipping on a lot of items not in stock at the store. I realize you have to pay a “membership” for Amazon Prime and Walmart+, but, at least for me, it is money well spent. I think Walmart+ is around $100 a year. I save $40 every month in grocery delivery fees alone. Does the Q think their merchandise is so special that customers don’t mind paying their fees? I think not, and, based on the stats, I would think TPTB would have realized this before now.
If ShopHQ can do free shipping on all products and offer promo discounts, why can’t QVC? And it’s ridiculous to pay $5.50 shipping for items on sale or under $25. Or to have to pay the freight for returns. Or to knock $5 off a high priced item and call it a “sale.”
I’ve shopped with QVC regularly since the 90s. In all that time, not once have they ever given me any kind of “frequent customer” coupons or discounts.
there are good deals offered there, beauty stuff
but for the rest of the products clothing mainly it’s mid-range off price stuff which is fine but charging at least 2 times for it doesn’t make sense
@UglyBetty has it right it in the post above,
Have you noticed that every item they present is a sale or clearance price? It hasn’t been just for end of year, it’s been that way for quite a while. They always say the original QVC price is X, but you never see those items at the higher price. Their pricing is such a sham.
You are so on point! And some of those items weigh less than a pound and the shipping is still $5.50 and up. They need to wake up. Yesterday, two saturdays until Christmas and Hanukkah and no free shipping! I mean, maybe on the TSV, I didn’t check. But seriously? All December weekends should be free shipping. And most items on their in house clothing brands (Grave and Gravel) were still around $50 and up per item. Oddly, Dennis Basso’s coats, while definitely not discount priced, have not gone up drastically in price in the time I’ve been watching and purchasing (6 yrs?).
Well great ….
I won’t miss Josie or Jennifer …don’t let the door hit yea on the way out
I’ve been purchasing Cuddle Duds fleecewear lounge/pj sets for four years. They keep me warmer than other lounge items i have purchased and I wear them after dark in the fall and winter and even spring. Yes, cold baby here. The point? Well, I’ve been looking all year and the fleece wear is usually sold as separates and when in a set, at a $60 ish price point and the reviews have been indicating not the same quality/thickness fleece wear. Today they have a over the head lounge thingy; fleecewear. but not thick and it has a hood. they have one on line without a hood. on sale, finally these items in the $30s. BUT here is fleece wear from Cuddl Duds at Kohl’s Dept Store.
I can’t believe they haven’t thought of this! It makes a lot of sense for a business that relies on return customers. Like @Yinzer mentioned, they never give return customers any incentives. Most other places send coupons or something. QVC is so stupid, they don’t even pretend to care about loyalty and think there is a line to buy their crap products.
I used to have a Q card. Maybe 5+ years ago they sent me a letter saying something like ‘dear customer, you haven’t used your Q card in almost a year’ and instead of saying here’s a $5 coupon, we want you back — they said if you don’t order something we will cancel your card. So I said to myself fine cancel it ! and I haven’t ordered anything since.
this is a company that seems to alienate not cultivate goodwill
another reason they are doomed
I recently contacted QVC for a price adjustment on an item that reduced in price by about $5 a week after I ordered it. The rep I spoke to over the chat credited my account as a “courtesy” but stated that QVC’s price adjustment policy has changed and they will only offer refunds if the exact same item is available - size, color, etc. In my situation, the color I ordered was out of stock so technically wasn’t eligible for an adjustment. But since the policy recently changed, the offered the refund.
It’s insanity, customers are basically being punished if they purchase something in a popular size or color. Like lilyglider said, QVC seems to want to alienate their customers and make things as inconvenient as possible.
i got this “sprigs” scarf in plum/turquoise after seeing it on qvc. it was the first thing i’ve bought from them in a long time. i like it! very nice color options and it’s soft, not very scratchy.
This new policy is definitely not sane. Seriously? They refuse to bring decent quantities of things in (Gravel line, as an example) so if I buy something it’s possibly sold out the same day I make the purchase. I might have to stop buying clothing or shoes at all. And same color? NUTS
we’re expecting five days of wind chill weather below 20F so this larger scarf appeals as a huge cover up to stay warm. And it’s pretty!
