Product Reviews

:persevere::thinking: I own very few TempTations pieces ( mostly mixing & serving bowls), and they were from the early days when the quality was better than it is today. If soaking the products in water is not recommended, that fact should most definitely be stressed in the on air presentation.

The designs aren’t worth these risks. Metal bakeware doesn’t have these issues and the higher quality stuff lasts forever.

I just don’t have the patience for finicky products, life is too short, and not enough time in the day.

Sometimes I need to soak a baking pan for a while. That is very strange. Does that mean we shouldn’t put them in the dishwasher, either, where they’d be inundated with water?

I still have one pretty 9x13 Temptations baking dish, in a pattern they no longer carry. (Trellis, I think.). Have not had any issues so far.

:cake: I’ve been using Lock n Lock glass dishes for baking. For me, it’s easy cooking and cleanup. I use only butter to grease the pans when necessary, clean up is simple and effortless.

I love Locknlock products, and I know I’ve said the following several times, but since it’s regarding safety, I’ll say it yet again… the glass baking dishes sometimes slide around in the oven and I’ve had some near misses when opening the door, to the point where I mostly use them for storing leftovers. This has happened with two ovens (my own and a relative’s) and we haven’t had this issue with any other glass baking dishes. Would hate for someone to get hurt.

That is interesting. I use my LnL 12x13 and 8x8 glass pans in my counter top oven often and have never had that problem. I will be careful and take notice from now on. I just bought a couple of the very large plastic bins from LnL; One to store important papers and documents and one to store emergency supplies. They are water tight in case of flood and easy to grab in case of emergency evacuation (neither of which I am expecting, but you never know).

:thinking::thinking: I use my glass lock n locks in the oven several times weekly, and have never had an issue with them sliding. If you place an oven safe silicone mat or silicone tray on the oven rack first, that might help to prevent the pan from sliding.

Did anyone get their set of 4 lock n lock containers with the handle and gift boxes? I’ve been using mine everyday at work. It’s okay, the closure is not as tight as my other lock n locks. I do like the colors and will gift 2 of them and keep two. Also, the handle aspect is good for me to hold onto my container as I eat. Here it is as an example with my rice and broccoli beef left over and an avocado.

I really like the quality of the temp-Tations drying mats. I got the new pattern she’s got for Thanks Giving. It’s cute but doesn’t really go with my vintage temp-tations pieces.

I always wondered how drying mats work; how often do you have to wash them? do they dry out quickly between uses?

This is how I use my drying mats.
I don’t have a dish washer. I do have a drying RACK which stays in the left side of my divided sink. The drying MAT goes on my counter next to the sink. All items that don’t fit in the drying rack end up resting on the drying mat. Those items might be wine glasses, large bowls, delicate items or plates that would take up too much space in the drying rack.
It does dry between uses. I wash the dying mats once a week when I do the towels and let them air dry.

That seems like a good system. They look cute too!

I’ve used a drying mat next to the sink for years. Bought them at Meijer years ago for $5 bucks. I have 3 and rotate them in between laundering. They go in the washer & dryer. Saw a similar product on the Walmart website for $5. Sorry, couldn’t get link to copy.

If this came down another $15+ I could buy it and sleep in it but wear it out in the real world? LOGO by Lori Goldstein Reg. 3/4 Sleeve Scoop Neck Sharkbite Dress - QVC.com

That dress is hideous!

I don’t think I’ve ever seen QVC do this but HSN, on their app anyway, had a sneak peek of today’s Shark TSV. I was waiting for Black Friday or post holiday sales anyway and decided this was worth a purchase. The cannister seems a little small but I can deal with that. I only have one area rug now and it is one of the brushless vacuums and it’s basically a 50% off deal with 26 dollar payments on flex. They claim to be sending it out so I have it end of week. We’ll see, though I don’t need it that fast. Anyway, it’s today’s TSV:Today's Special | HSN

OK I have used it this week; fairly easy to put together. I was right, the small cannister means emptying it a lot but I have mostly hardwood floors not rugs so this does seem to meet my needs. Great suction! I do have a Snarkers question though: I bought the two yr warranty. The item actually comes with a five year warranty. I’m going to call HSN and cancel the two year unless you guys, infinitely more wise than I, tell me I should keep it. Thanks!

I received my Dennis Basso TSV throw, in brown sable. It is beautiful and the softest faux fur I have ever felt! Not that I’m an expert, by any means.

It is heavy, though. I prefer a lighter coverup throw, but my adult sons might like it when they visit. And it is soooo soft! Will think on it,

It sounds wonderful. Worth keeping just for looks and feels alone?
