I’ve been the house selling/buying market recently. This phenomenon of “lease back” is new to me after buying/selling real estate for 30+ years.
Basically the seller wants to stay in the property after closing under a lease, presumably while they take their settlement funds to secure a new property.
As a buyer in a seller’s market, my realtor presented a deal to me where the seller got to to stay in the house at $0 lease fee for 3 months. If they didn’t leave after 3 months, they would pay $20 a day penalty. I got to 1) give them my money, 2) not get possession of the property that I was now liable for and 3) have a tenant paying $0 for 3 months minimum, then $600 a month (for a house) after that.
My realtor assured me this was common in the market I was buying in. She actually characterized it to me as a Win-Win. (???)
The most insane thing I ever heard of as a buyer and a big NOPE.
It’s sadly becoming more common and not because they’re waiting until a new home is finished. The deal you were offered is awful! The only winner in that situation is the Realtor.
To me the question is why did she take the job as the candle rep, working only short periods of time, at odd hours.It seems like she’s just avoiding moving to GA. Why didn’t she open a yoga studio in GA since that’s been her dream? When she first announced Davi’s new job, she said they were moving to GA and she posted a few times about looking for a house, and seemed like she was planning a new life down there. Then all of a sudden, she got the candle job. I’m sure she didn’t take the job because she needed the money. Since then, you count on one hand how many times she’s been to GA, and he doesn’t seem interested in coming to PA for occasional weekend visits. She no longer seems to have any plans to carve out a new life with Davi in GA. I’m anxious to see what she’s going to do after the holidays. I don’t think Harry will need her then. I wouldn’t be surprised if she went back to hosting.
Alpharetta has a lively social scene for people their age. Just saying.
You’re right, she now shows no interest in visiting Georgia, much less moving there. What an odd way to start a marriage.
She probably did the drive from Alpharetta to the airport a few times and now figures it’s not worth it. Funny, last I checked Westchester wasn’t exactly next to the Philly airport…
It is odd. Maybe his position is a temporary one, or as a consultant? Maybe he got there and isn’t thrilled with it, so they’re holding off on buying there?
You’re 100% right. And harmonious is a great word. It’s one thing Jen has never been and will never be in her life. She spouts off about meditation and manifesting but she’s chaos personified.
His kids, except for the daughter, cut him off when he dumped their mother, so he wouldn’t be going back to see them. Perhaps he has told her that she needs to be on a budget, maybe his salary isn’t as much as it was? She cannot be making much with just a few appearances a week. And there seems to be no more talk about her yoga studio. I don’t even know if she has spent enough time there to even know if she wants to do that and where. And, she wasn’t planning on teaching yoga - just hiring people and owning the studio. I am guessing that he is staying there with the new job. He can’t afford another job search at his level. It’s all just weird. I get that she may want to be independent and make her own money, but she needs to do that where her husband is, if she thinks she wants to stay married.

Taking a break from snarking to give Jen kudos for offering to take food over to the local food bank. She posted on ig yesterday that she was in the studio all day, so if anyone had anything they wanted to donate she would drive it over. Even got a comment from a person in the area that wanted to donate some food. It was refreshing to see that.
Why would she post on IG, if not so everyone could see how wonderful she is. She was asking QVC and HSN associates if they wanted to donate and she would pick up from the studio. Don’t they have internal email and wouldn’t that be a better way to reach all the staff. I doubt everyone follows her on IG.

Interestingly, I saw this on her facebook as well and now realize I’d missed the second pic on the ig post - with that she gives it away that she’s looking for recognition/attention as you both rightly point out.
She’s really craving attention and she’s getting it. I guess she doesn’t have a home to go to just roaming the halls at QVC. She was on at 3 and then 9 I thought she was going to be in the studio just to take peoples donations. I guess she was needing attention.
Is there a context to what she is doing there? Like “I just bought this festive plaid top and had to show it to you”? . Otherwise, I have never understood this trend.
