RE: Logging in on every visit…
Does anyone have any clue why I have to log in every time I visit the forum? It might be device related, on an Android tablet. Or user error which is more likely but can’t figure it out. Ideas? So many are much more tech knowledgeable than I.

I don’t have that issue, but I do notice on my laptop that the site hourglasses constantly and I’m unable to refresh. It’s a bit odd.

I have to reenter my login information every time, too, but I think it’s because I close all of my browser windows before I shut my laptop off for the night. Also, perhaps your web browser settings are set so it doesn’t remember browsing data like cookies or your web history. I’m not super tech-savvy but I would check your browser settings. I hope this helps.
somehow when you leave the forum and shut off your android it is clearing your cookies and passwords, see if you can find out how to turn that off, if that is what you want, I use CC Cleaner and it does that for me … its clears my history ,cookies and passwords when i shut down … I have no problem signing in everytime, in this day and age.
I post from my phone using an app. No such problems.
I am using an Android phone and don’t have that problem. I did download the app.

Thank you @UglyBetty . If I have to log in every time it’s not that much of an issue. It is probably something with my tablet but I don’t know how to change it. Get some rest from your trip. You deserve it for doing such a kind thing.
What brand tablet are you using? Do you use the browser that came with it or something else?
I’m not seeing any kind of option that would cause this logging out each time. What browser are you using?
It’s a Samsung and I use DuckDuckGo. This is the only site that makes me log in every time. I’ve gotten used to logging in so I will just go with it. Thanks
@kittygirl DuckDuckGo is the reason you have to keep signing in. It’s one of the privacy protections. If you want DDG to remember your password, you have to go into Settings > Password, and enable “Save and autofill passwords.” After you do that, the next time you log in here, DDG will ask you if you want to save it.
I did that when I signed up and this is only site that has problem but as I say, it’s not that much trouble. Thanks @RubberbandGirl
So…How can we delete responses and reactions? The “dismiss” is greyed out.
Sorry, I can’t figure out how to post a picture. What is Markdown? What is BB Code? I know what html is but still don’t understand how to insert a picture. Drag it - from where? Drag a JPEG from my Windows picture gallery? Drag an image from a Word document? I’m using a Windows 10 desktop computer and Firefox.
I have no idea what markdown or BB code is, nor have I tried the drag and drop method, instead I click on the little picture that says upload and add the picture that way. For gifs, I just copy and paste.

When you click reply, the formatting toolbar should have a little photo as the 7th icon from the left (if you hover over it, it says Upload) If you click it, you can select photos from your computer.
As far as GIFs, I just added a button, 2nd from the right. You could also copy/paste the image URL from a Google search.
How do I get here on my iphone? Is there an app?
When I try to login through Safari, I get a message that my password is incorrect.
Download the app. It’s been a godsend.
