He’s been using this line since the pandemic. Made sense back then, seems antisocial now.
Everything about Diva is contrived, especially the finger to the mouth pose (feigning interest in a product).
Maybe because he always talks about his mother and wants people (his ladies) to know that his father didn’t abandon him - he died?
Imagine using this “grill” indoors! It looks like one of those grills at the park! ![]()
every. damn. week. so cringey
La Diva just turned 61 but easily, with his posture, demeanor and miserable attitude could be 10-15 years older.
I’m questioning why he has to give his age. It’s always “When my father died at 70, he wore a size…”
It’s important to know this.
Oh my word, he just relayed the “CandyFlicker” story. Lovely. ![]()
We opted to put up the brand new Balsam Hill Tree that we snatched up at an estate sale this past summer for $4O, on this cold, blustery, rainy Sunday afternoon. Sounds like I didn’t miss a thing, and I dare say we had a much more enjoyable afternoon, complete with egg nog and homemade pizzelle cookies.
And his posture and forgetfulness are getting worse. He is aging fast.
I feel like I am watching a decline live on air
I love when the OAP pretends they never heard the story before and chuckles along with him, when you know they’re thinking please not again.
I certainly would not eat something that was left anonymously on my doorstep.
It’s not a big peeve compared to all the other things about Diva that I find cringey. But yesterday his frequent overemphasis of “ANNND” was driving me nuts. (As in “this will do many jobs for you ANNND it comes in six colors ANNND it makes a good stocking stuffer.”) ANNND, ANNND, ANNND over and over - super annoying.
ANNND…once again he trotted out the old story about how Pop It shelves saved his bacon when his basement flooded. God, I wish he’d get new stories.
His basement didn’t “flood”…it “took on water.” Just like the “saved my bacon” he uses the exact wording every time he repeats these stories.
I think the long drawn out ANNND is giving him time to think of something to say. Just like it’s important to know….
Vocal tics. People who talk for a living often exhibit this - it’s human nature. But it’s a good idea to self-analyze and work through those.
I have to give presentations for work and provide product training. I am nowhere near David’s level - he is snarkable but he is good at presenting underneath it all and has a lot of experience. What I like about him most is his “radio voice” as we used to call it. He’s got a great voice.
I have my own set of issues. Some of our public speaking classes told us to be quiet when thinking of something instead of the ums or ers. I found that worse & super awkward. So I’ll just say, hang on I need to think for a moment or let’s come back to that.
“Free ship, free ship, free ship”, my gawd…
Or as his TV Wife would say … AAHHND …
The pot stickers are “very important”
