The main point is that neither has ever worked in the chorus or dance corps of a Broadway production, ever, regardless of time and money spent on gyms, trainers and apartments.
We’re none of us getting any younger and the window closes rapidly, particularly in the field of professional dancer.
Maybe she’s going out too much and this is from drinking. Or perhaps the picture is a covert pregnancy announcement? No, Jane would have told us immediately during a Sketchers presentation.
Her husband told her to keep the wedding off the air, but it’s fine on social media…?
That was more speculation, not fact. She did in fact mention on the air that she was going to a destination wedding in Ireland. Within the last couple weeks I heard it mentioned.
I think Dee is more of a realist and is making her own life and being employed year round.Cara on the other hand has mom and dad paying her bills so she can “achieve her dreams” even though she is almost 30.
And just because something was your “dream” in childhood, teen years, early adulthood, doesn’t mean it’s going to stay the dream. People change, have new experiences, meet new people to interact with, and new dreams emerge. A dream isn’t an end destination, it’s part of the journey. Even with or without parents who support whatever you’re doing, or have pretty vivid dreams of their own for you, it doesn’t mean things are going to be static.
I’m sure much of this was at Jane’s insistence. They come across as emotionally stunted and needy. I suspect they took dance to prove something to Jane and give her something to talk about. They need to come back to reality and find stable careers.
We all need some reality at times, whether we like it or not. Just recently, my chorus director told me that I have a lovely voice, but I will never be on Broadway and I will never sing opera. First, I am 72, and second, I never asked her!!!
ETA - both of the Blabberinas do look a lot like their mother.
If Cara is still playing regional and dinner theater now in her 30s, she better realize that this is probably her career peak as a dancer. There’s still plenty of time for her to switch careers, if she’s willing to accept that she isn’t destined for stardom.
Now Dee I think is too immature to advance as an entertainer. I’ve always thought that she will be the one who never steps out from under Mama’s wings. Cara at least has a chance at becoming her own person.
Don’t know when Dee started entertaining the masses … Most likely before her birth Mommy B was publishing Dee’s sonograms in the Philadelphia Enquirer and People Magazine.
From the comments on tonight’s FB live simulcast of Shoe Shopping with Jane. Has anyone seen/heard about the incident cited below? Jane telling a rep to smell her shoe? WTF
It was the Sketchers rep who smelled her shoe. She kept talking about how she was glad that the shoes are washable because her feet stink so much. The rep said that she’s heard Jane say that and she didn’t believe it. So Jane took off her shoe and asked her if she wanted to smell it. The rep did smell it and said that it didn’t stink. And then the presentation was over.
