I always liked Becky Wright! Is she still a “fashion expert” or a regular host now?
What is the story with Shop LC? I take a look from time to time, usually evenings, and they are either selling $4.99 jewelry (that looks dollar store quality at best) or jewelry (with gemstone settings that often seem “cheap” looking) for many thousand dollars. The gold chains seem ok, I guess reasonably priced (?) but the gemstone stuff looks unusual to me in most cases. Where does their inventory come from? Are their prices considered reasonable?
Yes!!! Becky is the other one and I am sure that Erin is the more obnoxious one. And, of course you are right about the “free shipping,” but when they did offer that, I didn’t notice a significant increase in the price. But, spending $7.95 per each tee shirt was crazy. Thanks for the history. Seeing other shopping channels puts QVC and HSN into perspective. Unfortunately, I can see that Erin fitting right in at QVC now.
I think LC’s inventory mostly comes from India. There used to be a healthy forum and it was noted a lot that stones fell out of their jewelry and other things. I have some beautiful jewelry but these days hesitate to wear it to do local errands and I have bought some very inexpensive pieces from LC to wear around and am very happy with them. A couple of things have fallen apart but for the most part most have held up. I, personally, would not invest in diamonds and 14k without seeing and feeling first, but I guess a lot of people do. They are also on tv in England and several years ago when I looked there were several complaints on a BBB type website. Last week I bought 4 rings set in stainless steel for small money. The stones are genuine and beautiful color, I had already had two and intend to give a couple away as gifts. If they don’ t last, oh well. They were $9.99 ea., less a buy all discount, with free shipping.
Red Rover: I meant the above post for you too.
Thank you. I have been watching with curiosity.
I used to watch a lot of ShopNBC back in the day, and then ShopHQ…Skip and Karen, Wes and Pam, Carmella, Chuck Clemancy. I stopped watching a few years ago, but was recently surprised to see Charla Rines was back. I always thought she was fun. She looks great and hasn’t seemed to have aged much…lucky her!
I watched ShopNBC/HQ, as I enjoyed giving watches as special occasion gifts. Some very reasonable prices on Invicta Watches for every budget. I really missed Connie Kunkle after her unexpected passing, such a fun, gracious and talented woman.
Yes, Charla was a manager at a Cheesecake Factory when she was brought back to HQ. I watched her a little bit. She is kind of obnoxious, talking over everyone and trying too hard to be the Charla she was twenty years ago. Looks like she gave up her smoking habit though because she isn’t coughing every three minutes.
That was for Mick Mack. I must be hitting the wrong reply button. Just Plain Nutz: I liked Connie Kunkle too. Her passing was very, very sad.
Perhaps not yet quite as obnoxious as Skunks Killinger, Charla is on her way to being HQ’s own version!
Thread title has been updated!
Yes, ShopHQ is available on YouTube:
- You can watch ShopHQ live on YouTube from a computer, mobile device, or television
- The ShopHQ YouTube channel has 27.1K subscribers. I watch Q2 on my tv so once or twice ShopHQ channel showed up. It’s been since spring or summer that I have watched but should still be there, I think!
My Smart TV also has a ShopHQ app that launches directly into the live programming. I had to search for the app thru the Search function, but it was easily found.
I think Erin is the smaller lady.
I enjoy the Christopher and Banks shows as well as the Indigo.
@UglyBetty - is it possible to get a few more emojis added to our collection? For example, a couple of emojis I see and use a lot on other sites are 100% and bullseye. If adding more is a costly option, then never mind! We can do fine with what we have.
The reaction emojis? Sure, I can definitely update it. Just give me a list of what you’d like to see! I just can’t change the emojis in replies.
This is one of the few gossip sites that I visit, as I have strangely enough managed to refrain from popular social media websites. And I would like to sincerely express my deep appreciation and gratitude for providing Great Community Service to the league of QVC Snarkers. I also never realized, or even thought about the time & effort involved in not only starting this site, but maintaining it, as well. You’ve provided us with much needed laughter, a few tears, and great camaraderie.
I Salute You & Thank You For Your Service.
Great - thanks! And, yes - more reaction emojis are what I was referring to. Here are a few suggestions, and fellow posters may have additional ideas.
They have been added! Sorry for the delay. Let me know if you can think of any others!
