Was looking at QVC items recently on air this morning. Kim is selling a lemon print top for $45. The description of the item is “slub knit pulp fiction short sleeve top”.
It’s early, so it took my brain a minute to understand this description. Assuming the “pulp fiction” movie reference is a pun for pulp from lemons? Now that I’m more awake, I think having “pulp fiction” in the description is stupid. Enough of the cutesy names. Keep it simple.
Kim really looks rough this morning - too much self tanner and greasy looking hair. I think it’s interesting that both Kim and Mary claim to wear size medium but the model Rebecca wears a size large. I’ve seen Rebecca on air in her bra and undies and she is definitely the same size as those two.
Unrelated: I don’t understand why everyone makes such a big deal about Katia (the model). She is tall and thin but I doubt that she represents 90% of the body types shopping on QVC.
that crop pant and poncho outfilt looks awful on all 3 of them Mary in the pants with the brown ankle strap sandal is so unflattering
lemon tee is sort of cute, I am looking for one, but not from the Q
where sizing is all over the place/price/delivery
Could NOT agree more! The two of them are just too much! The fake southern accent…they almost try to out accent each other. Mary tries too hard. And the prices for the basic stuff KG sells are outlandish! No wonder QVC has just declared bankruptcy…nobody wants to spend that kind of money for what you get.
I would say that Mary is obnoxious when she’s with Kim, but the fact is, she’s pretty loud and obnoxious most of the time.
IMO, Kim had real self-confidence when she lost all of that weight and was proud of her appearance. Now, with the weight gain, she seems to be trying to over-compensate and prove she is still “confident” by being corny and silly. Having been a big girl most of my life, and now a smaller girl, I know that she knows the weight gain is now very evident. No way that she is a true medium. I feel women should be proud of who they are AT ANY SIZE. But, don’t be a liar by squeezing yourself into clothes that are obviously the wrong size while preaching to love yourself. I really liked Kim when she first started on QVC. Now, I can’t stand to watch her.
Mary has become louder & sillier over time. Unfortunately, many of the other hosts have too. It’s ok to have a bit of fun selling items, but it’s too much sometimes. I definitely think Kim contributes to the silliness, but she’s selling lots right now, so I doubt things will change.
Kim is on all the time because she has created an empire. She started with clothing, then make-up, then Christmas Decor, then Home Decor and purses. She plans to add jewelry. When is enough enough. IMHO, I don’t think this has helped the Q’s financial condition. Customers are bored and tired of everything Kim. Her prices are high and her lines are nothing special.
So very true…I think they’re giving her her own channel too. What next? You can buy the same things on Amazon and other sites for half the price. She’s gouging the QVC customers and I think people are getting fed up.
I was watching Stephen Colbert last night and a quick ad for QVC popped up with Kim’s face
The irony is that they did a kind of parody of QVC while selling off items from the show on eBay
