And a second tier candle salesperson at that. She gets the times that Harry doesn’t want. As I have said before, if she didn’t act so superior and condescending, I might have some empathy for both her and the other loser who thought they would automatically be social media stars when they left QVC. But, nope.
She looks like she’s had a “facial refresh.” Her face and jawline look slimmer than I remember it.
Not eating from stress will do that.
Well, the townhouse is still for sale and curiosity took the best of me so I called the realtor and said I was interested in buying and she said it’s been on the market for months and she said she’s the third realtor and I asked was there anything wrong with it and she said in that state there’s only a limited amount they can say so if I wanted to know anything else I would have to talk to the seller in person, but she said to her knowledge there are three fireplaces that are not working. But you know good and well there’s more to it than that. But Jen did say a few weeks ago that if you wanted your house so quickly to light some candles so why in the hell hasn’t she lit a candle? ![]()
You are much bolder than I and I respect that!
It just figures that something involving her would be deficient in some way. Stuff needs to be operational, or it needs to be fixed by the seller IMO. The only other thing I can think of is for the buyer to get an estimate to get everything fixed and take that amount off the top of their offer, to make them whole. I’m not a realtor or an attorney so I might be off base, just trying to use common sense.
P.S. - Why do I get the feeling that Jen’s going to find out what the realtor said and…

I lived in multiple condos/townhouses with fireplaces, both wood burning and gas… how exactly does a fireplace stop working? I thought regular cleaning was enough. If they’re gas fireplaces, maybe something wrong with the gas lines?
They must be a real pleasure to work with. THREE real estate agents?! WOW. ![]()
Now she’s going to call the agent and lecture her about privacy because she’s such a BIG CELEBRITY. ![]()
Are either one smokers? Apart from major issues and a lack of cooperation on their part, that’s the only other reason I can think of as to why it hasn’t sold.
IDK when the townhouse was built, but I live in a house built in the early 1980’s and I had to have the gas fireplace innards replaced last year because it wasn’t working right any longer. It wasn’t that expensive - maybe $300?
I’d be very worried about a non-functioning gas fireplace… as you say, problems with gas lines or whatnot. If a wood burning fireplace, I can only think of a malfunctioning flue or a chimney that needs cleaned. What else is there? Broken glass doors? No hearth to put the logs on? Super weird.
Those early 80’s houses are either great or a nightmare! ![]()
Our last house was a foreclosure. We gut renovated the whole thing. The chimney was unstable and would have cost $50k to replace. Since fireplaces aren’t essential for resale in that area, we chose to remove it completely and loved the extra living space! I didn’t miss it and have never used our current home’s fireplace.
That’s interesting! I would’ve done the same.
To compare your experience to what @naturelover said - From a buyer’s standpoint, looking at a house with a fireplace that was once there but since removed, is way different from existing ones that aren’t working.
And this wasn’t a gas fireplace either, so no messing with gas lines. We removed the whole brick “wall” and you’d never know there was once a fireplace there. Really opened up the family room and allowed for 21st century furniture placement. Who sits around watching a fireplace these days? No, we sit around watching trash TV and commenting on sites like this… ![]()
The Zillow listing says the fireplaces are gas. There’s actually only 2 fireplaces, one on the main level and a double sided one on the upper level. I can’t imagine that whatever the problem with them is that they wouldn’t have them repaired. The townhouse was built in 1998.
@naturelover great job on your investigative reporting!
$$$$$$$$$$$
I think they have a lot tied up in the townhouse and need the cash to buy a place in Georgia. Alpharetta isn’t cheap. Looks like the princess is finding out the hard way.
If they aren’t contributing to repairs and keep driving buyers away… maybe they’re broke. ![]()
Yep. Queue up Realtor #4……..cuz #3 is about to get an earful!
JCon: “Do you know who I am?!”
Realtor: “No?”
She’d be an idiot ass for getting upset at the current agent. Agents talk. They will be hard pressed to find a FOURTH one.
Remember when she was scouring the globe, searching for a prestigious world class interior designer to work their magic on “her” fabulous Main Line Philadelphia Mansion?

Isn’t it a little odd that they haven’t been able to find a place in GA? I think they’ve been looking since May. Something is up, and I think @UglyBetty is right…$$$. They are probably waiting to sell the townhouse first. And here we all thought she married Mr. Moneybags. Things are not always as they seem. I bet his alimony payment makes a good dent in their finances… he was married over 20 years. Does anyone know exactly how long?
A friend of mine with a much larger estate with a barn and guest house and acreage, etc. was desperate to sell their home to move to another state and they had several realtors. First, they needed to find one with experience with multi-million dollar sales, and second, because of the size, the buyers would have to have a large family and there are only certain times to sell because of the school schedules. Anyway, with each realtor, they lowered their price significantly, and I pleaded with her not to do that because anyone who had been following the house would think there was something wrong with it - there wasn’t. They FINALLY sold it, but at 2 MILLION less than they wanted originally. They were so relieved to get rid of it that they took the cash and were done. Was the townhouse JCon’s or Davi’s? I know they were both living there, but who got rid of the original home before they merged? Is it more expensive to live in Alpharetta than where they live(d) in PA? I agree that alimony takes a huge chunk. The kids are old enough that he didn’t have to pay for school, did he? Someone looked it up already and the salary posted for his position was not that high at all, so I am sure they are struggling. And, she can’t be a joy to live with, considering the fact that she obviously HAS to work. I had thought that she would be content being a trophy wife, but that does not seem to be the case. I wonder if she has to support Gabby?
